I didn't have a FB reader on my new computer. I ordered this one and really like it. It does take up one port but it's worth it. I don't like passwords, and this is the perfect solution. A+

Malo, falla mucho hay que hacer hasta 5 intentos para que detecte la huella.

I have tried everything I can think of to get the device to install. It will appear in the device manager with the yellow triangle. Updating the driver says it is the most current version. I tried downloading drivers from Dell for fingerprint reader. None work. Windows 11 on a Dell Latitude 7420. I can find absolutely nothing online for this device to try to get support. I will most likely be returning it.

I was looking to add a USB-C Fingerprint Sensor to my laptop so that I could restore my Windows Hello authentication on my docked/closed-lid laptop. The biggest thing I've been missing is the ability to login quickly and with ease. My thought, originally, was to put it in place and restore the functionality so that I could start logging in to the PC, my password manager, etc., without having to type everything in each time. My company's IT Policy allows Windows Hello, which works with the managed password manager we use. Fitting into that compliance, while adding the ability to use Windows Hello with the lid closed was exactly what I wanted. This nano USB-C fingerprint reader does exactly what I wanted. That said, it did take some adjusting to get used to. The adapter is a little awkward -- The USB-A adapters I've used in the past have the sensor as the full 'face'. This one uses about 2/3rds of the face. This has, a few times, lead to me wondering why it wasn't working, only to realize that it was me not touching the right spot. Once I got used to the adjustment it hasn't been an issue -- maybe once every few weeks, but it was an awkward start. I'm using this with a USB-C extension cable on my second USB-C port on my Zbook, with the cable zip-tied to keep the adapter in the same spot (if I had a USB-C dock port available, it'd be in it). It works for now. Overall, other than the face being smaller than expected, it's been a great find. And I'd probably order it again if I needed it.

This would've been an AMAZING peripheral! Nifty idea. I tried it on several of my computers and, unfortunately, it would not work.
