Years ago I used a hand wash that had walnut shell powder in it and I've been on the hunt for something similar ever since. I recently resorted to adding this walnut shell powder into my body wash and I absolutely love its exfoliating power. It is very gentle but highly effective as a deep scrub without irritating my skin. Bonus, my husband loves it as well. I highly recommend this product.

this stuff is amazing. it's fine but not gritty or weird and makes an amazing facial scrub!

Good product. However when added to my homemade soaps, the grind is far too coarse to use on your face. Maybe okay with those nasty scaley feet, but ruined my charcoal face soap.

I bought this large bag of walnut shell powder to use as a natural exfoliant in my soaps. It did not disappoint. I absolutely love the fine-medium texture! It’s the perfect amount of scrubby. And it’s all natural!

Great soap additive for exfoliation

This walnut shell powder is perfect for making your regular cleansers into powerful scrubs. I suffer from extremely scaly/flaky skin patches on my cheeks, forehead, and chin that most facial exfoliants can’t truly help. I add 1-2 spoonfuls of this walnut shell powder to a 5 oz container of Aveeno Positively Radiant skin brightening daily scrub (remove lid of Aveeno tube, empty contents into glass mixing bowl, add walnut shell powder, blend completely, either return the scrub to the Aveeno tube using a wide tipped medicine syringe or keep scrub in a jar). This is the ONLY way I have a scrub that can actually remove the scaly/flaky patches that develop on my skin due to ALS skin changes. Highly recommend!

Ground walnut shell is the key ingredient to various expensive body and booty and face scrubs. For less than the cost of a tablespoon of many of these scrubs you can get a multi-year supply of dry shell and mix your own. I add a little of this on a per use basis to relatively inexpensive salicylic acid face scrubs to boost the exfoliating power and it works for me just as well as the expensive scrubs. I haven’t tried premixing batches.

While the grind size is way thinner than I expected(fine powder, that seems too thin for facial scrub)—it actually expresses itself in a slightly thicker form once you add it to water or oils etc. still very fine, but adequate for a micro scrub...gentle enough to use in an acne scrub without irritating the blemishes. Sensitive skin scrub or in soap...ideal for these products. If you need a heavy duty ground material for foot or body scrub I’d use coffee or sugar or something thicker.
