I got stuck in a canyon overnight while canyoneering in Southern Utah. I was wet and didn't have anything to dry off with. These blankets kept me from getting hypothermia overnight. They are a must-have for outdoor adventures and a good bang for your buck.

Haven't used yet for the purpose they were bought for. I used a few of them for my indoor potted plants I'm growing as a wrap around shield to keep the grow lights and heat in, instead of rolls of expensive foil or other products of that type. Now as far as what they're supposed to be used for; the size and thickness should do the job. Nice and compact and lightweight and will be putting some in the car for emergencies. Great pricing for what you get.

I got these to up up in my windows during the hot summer months. It helps to keep our place much cooler in the day time. Blocks the heat coming through in the afternoon. You can still see out of them in the day time. Money well spent.

One (below zero) winter night I was trapped in a stalled car on a dark backroad without a coat/hat/gloves (planned to go from garage to garage), and with my short haired dog!! My insurance company couldn’t find a tow truck to help me for 3 hrs. Even though the police came to sit with me they wouldn’t allow my dog in their car, so I wouldn’t get in either. My dog and I were absolutely freezing to death trying to wrap in floor mats! NOW, I made sure each vehicle has at least one of the emergency blankets!! They seem large enough to provide protection. Even if they only lasted one use, it’s worth it! I also keep my house FREEZING (as my guests like to say). An overnight guest put one of these between her blankets and said she was much warmer. So great to have in case of power outages during cold weather (or sleepovers at my house)! A good value for multiple blankets. Don’t Get Caught With Out One (like me)!

I purchased this package in order to keep these blankets in different locations for emergencies. I have them in our cars (we live where winters are cold), backpacks for hiking, and with our winter skiing supplies. I like the peace of mind of having this available and not having to remember to pack one each time we go out. It's a great value for this purpose.

Its amazing how well these little blankets work, easy to store, easy to carry, bright reflective coatings can be used to bounce reflections off in an emergency situation. I am not much of an outdoors man but I keep a few of these in the car for auto accidents, it doesn't matter how warm it is outside a person in shock is going be be cold & you might just save a life.

Luckily never had to use them, but seems good.
