These look and feel like real X-rays. When assembled, the skeleton is a little over 3' high with a 3' arm span. Additional X-rays show the full skeleton; another shows some of the male and female circulatory systems. The X-rays vary in size depending on the part of the body shown. This is a great gift for anyone interested in the human skeleton. The product is high-quality and has the same thickness as real X-rays. The manufacturer's photos are misleading, and I almost knocked off a star for that. One photo shows kids in lab coats with a large chest X-ray. These are far from that size. The largest ones are 8.25"x 11.75". The most misleading one is the fourth one from the left, which discusses Halloween. The only X-rays that remotely resemble the kit are the chest and pelvis. There is no side view of the skull, and none of the multiple hand X-rays are included. The kit is interesting enough without showing exaggerated product photos. The first photo of the full skeleton showing different-sized X-rays is accurate.

We are a family of homeschoolers so I'm constantly looking for cool and interesting things to show my kids or teach them about. The minute I saw this I thought it would be a great way to help them learn a little bit about anatomy especially because my two oldest are getting more physical and starting to do things like ride bikes and skateboards. So this is a really great way to explain how their bones are laid out and really help them understand the seriousness of safety gear when doing physical things like riding a skateboard. These are such great quality that I'm kind of amazed they're meant for kids. They're really sturdy and look incredible when held up to light. Like they look like real x-rays. Very impressed and I'm going to start looking into what else this company has because this is amazing.

It says on the ad title that it's 1:1 ratio, which means it'd be a full size body. Well, if that body is 3-feet tall with the head the size of a grapefruit, then ok. So don't be thinking you are getting a full size adult human skeleton x-ray. That part of the ad is deceiving. The packaging is all in a plastic sleeve with an envelope snap over to close it in. When ours arrived the side was split open so I had to glue it together. It could probably be in a little bit better packaging and it was a bit beat up and creased on one side. I don't know if that was a mailing issue or just how they sent the product. The only reason I bring it up is also because it seems the pictures may have been viewed before. There were finger prints on many of them. I'm sure some were ours, but it seemed excessive and almost dirty looking. Anyhow, on to the good stuff. It's definitely unique and a neat teaching tool for our homeschooled kiddos. They are starting to learn about the human body and pictures from a book are always helpful, but this really is an added level of viewing experience along with showing them what x-rays may look like. For the full body puzzle there are 14 pictures that are neat to line up to create the pictured layout of the human body. The additional 7 pictures are standard 8.5 x 11 (also simulated x-ray style) pictures of the human body just as shown in the ad. They don't seem to be as interesting to the kids as the full body puzzle pieces are. That's where the majority of the kids attention is held. I don't know how common these types of x-ray style education pictures are, but this one seems to do the job just fine and the kids will get an added dimension of learning with the human body.

This is the coolest science puzzle I've ever seen! It's the human skeleton, arranged in anatomic fashion (that is, seen from the front). and all the component bones are there, from the skull to the feet. The X-ray puzzle pieces are comparable to a professional film image and show the skeletal details accurately. Curious kids can focus on a particular part of the skeleton in detail, or have fun completing the entire image; adult parents will find this puzzle both entertaining and informative for themselves as well. My . older grandson was already intrigued by the animal puzzle I sent him last year: it showed both external and internal features of an owl, in a cleverly-designed two-sided puzzle. He is going to enjoy this one when it arrives!

This kit of 7 "full-sized" "x-rays" and 14 smaller pieces that go together to make up one of the full-sized ones (some of which show several tiny skeletons—NONE are remotely full-sized body parts) has exactly ONE x-ray with female hips which I think also shows the nervous system, although it's not clearly labeled and shows no nerves in the hands. That x-ray also came damaged.
