UNICO MVS Mini Gamepad Red, Classic Wired Game Controller for MVS Mini

I tried out the controller today and its really good.

Works great and it’s bringing back so many memories

Works perfect with my neo geo mini. Good weight solid controller.

This gamepad is compatible with the SNK / NEOGEO mini handheld game system. It’s USB-C based, so you might have luck using it with other devices as well. It comes with a super long cord which allows me to keep my console by the TV. I have the previous version of this controller made for the NEOGEO mini, so I compared them side-by-side. Other than copyright info they feel and look identical. If you never played with this controller before it has rounded edges and feels comfortable in the hand. The buttons are large with a soft action. There’s a select and start button and an unusual style D-Pad. The D-Pad might resemble the NES Max controller, but it behaves much different. The thumb pad operates similar to an analog stick with full 360 degree movement and self centering. Great for fighting games, but I find it a little tricky for side scrollers like Metal Slug to get the diagonals correct. It’s still an all digital controller with no other buttons or functions on the pad. Some people love it, some hate it. It’s very similar to the original NEO GEO CD controller, except this controller has no microswitches. Overall it has a nice feel and was pulling off moves in Fatal Fury, Art of Fighting and King of the Monsters very easily.

Feels great in hand! Super comfy remake of the original Neo Geo controller, small issue in the ABCD layout being slightly different than the original but it matches the Mini layout. I am using this on PC, even though it says only works on the mini arcade. Love they retained the nub to indicate Up on the stick, really great action and loving it for schmups. I suspect it’ll also work for Switch/PS with a Brooks adapter but direct to Switch it doesn’t register. The angled USB C is a nice touch as well, more electronics should do this. This is one of my favorite controllers, can’t wait to play some Shock Troopers! 4 stars, really good but not perfect.

I ordered this controller to use with my SNK MVS Mini arcade. I love the mini arcade, but I do not like its controller, especially the arcade stick. I also prefer to use the mini arcade connected to the TV. The SNK classic wired controller enables me to play the games the way I want. The controller is easy to use, plug it into the system and you are ready to go. The cable is 6.6ft which is long enough to fit my needs. The analog stick works well, it is nice and tight and easy to use, without any noticeable dead zones. In my opinion the analog stick on this controller is great for fighting games and it is much better than the one provided on the mini arcade. The buttons are fast and firm. The controller is rounded so it fits and feels good in your hands. If you have a NEOGEO mini arcade you should add this controller for a better gaming experience.

Great joystick with all the charm and nostalgia of the original Neo Geo joystick!

Mando rojo licenciado SNK para mini MVS, NeoGeo Mini de la marca UNICO. Bien presentado, aunque con la caja algo magullada, nos llega este mando rojo con cable USB-C de 2 metros aproximadamente. Con cuatro botones de acción y dos para opciones/pausa, sumado al joystick estable y con giro perfecto de 360º. Se solicito para usar junto a la pequeña maquina mini MVS roja también de la marca UNICO, con un diseño completamente fiel al original de NeoGeo. Además el mando se puede configurar también en PC y otros dispositivos compatibles (smartphones, tabletas, etc). Para probar lo conecte al ordenador con un adaptador OTG y funciona sin problemas, es solo conectar y jugar, tengo algunos juegos de NeoGeo en Steam, como The Last Blade 1 y 2, The King of Fighters 2002 y Metal Slug 1, 2 y 3, así que lo probé con algunos de ellos. En el uso, puedo decir que el joystick es cómodo, los botones son grandes y se adapta bien a las manos sin problemas de sujeción. Lógicamente para otros juegos se echan en falta más botones y la compatibilidad se reduce, pero igualmente funciona y es perfecto para títulos clásicos. La marca tiene otros colores y diseños del mando donde escoger. Así que si el rojo es muy provocativo, siempre puedes optar por la versión clásica original. A mi la verdad es que el rojo me gusta, por salirse de los tonos convencionales y algo manidos en estos tiempos. ¿Recomendado? ✅ Imprescindible para la mini MVS salvo que tengas dedos pequeños, y además compatible en PC y otros dispositivos.
