Good, but there's a learning curve. Also, my gecko loves it
Okay, so there's definitely a learning curve (skip to the bottom for the gecko details). This product could be horrible for what you want, or the absolute perfect thing. I use it to water the plants on the back wall of my gecko's vivarium. The thing is, physics doesn't make it easy for the automatic watering aspect to work with something so small. But if you can figure it out, it seems to do the job. Problem #1: Filling the tube. That's hard because of surface tension. Pockets of air and water can develop in the tube while you're trying to fill it, and the pressure from the air inside the globe prevents the water from moving downward. Keep in mind, the tube is the size of a straw. I use a little squeeze bottle that has a long nose to just shoot water into it. That works great for me. Problem #2: Putting it in the pot and the releasing of water. I had one empty itself completely overnight. The other stayed full for 3 days (in a dry, dry pot). I pulled it out and saw that soil had gotten stuck inside the tube when I put it into the pot, and apparently that blocked the water from coming through (remember there's a ton of surface tension occuring inside this thing). So I took it out and repositioned it. The next morning, the globe was empty. So these things are gonna take some trial and error to figure out. But they're exactly what I need. Because I have these plants in pots that are built into the background of the tank, and they're slightly on an angle. When I try to water with a watering can, the water just pours it over the edge before it can get to the bottom of the pot. So I have this tank that's supposed to be a humid environment with plants that aren't getting enough water. Only the top half inch of soil stays damp because I mist the tank daily. These little waterers are the exact right size for one watering of the pot. I can fill them once or twice a week, and the tube gets the water down where it needs to be in the pot instead of pouring over the edge. It's been three days, and the plants have all perked up. The tank is finally looking like the jungle it's meant to be. Also, my gecko loves it. Water stays cooler than other areas, and reptiles move around to warmer or cooler areas to regulate their body temperature. She's decided that when these things are full of water, they're the perfect thing to perch on and cool down with. I wasn't expecting my gecko to even care when I put these in the tank, let alone love them and actually USE them. 😂

Go to dollar store instead
Go to dollar store instead. These are tiny like golf balls and they immediately empty out. Cheap plastic garbage.

Smaller than expected, because, I didn’t pay attention to the measurements of the product. But, they will suffice!
