You get what you pay for but once this was installed, I must say it’s quite solid and that’s what I was looking for. I had no problem putting it together, but I was a little leery with the included hardware I would recommend not using the ceiling lag bolts and get trustable heavy duty lag bolts. overall, it was easy to put together. The hardest part was finding the studs and drilling the holes, but by myself only took about 30 minutes.

Multi Grip Joist: OMG the village idiot wrote the assembly instructions. But not to worry. You'll do much better just carefully studying the front photo, with attention to the direction of the pieces and fasteners. I also found it much easier to drill just one hole, hang the device, swivel it upwards so that the bar is perfectly horizontal, and then push the drill through the device holes to start the remaining joist holes. As far as using it, I had a rude awakening with a lot of work ahead of me. I smugly thought I could do at least one pull-up from a dead hand -- not even close.

Just. Buy. This. Long time Amazoner, rare reviewer. This is the sturdiest and best item out there. Is it worth $40? Who cares. It's built tough and you can hang a pick up truck from it. I highly, highly recommend this pull up bar. I bought it to replace a 12 year old cheapo that ripped off the walls because the screws sheared off. This has heavy duty lag bolts. Note: Make sure you get the one that properly adheres to your cross beams. I have 2 x 8" beams and lagged this thing directly (4 bolts). It comes with all hardware and cushioned outside of bar. I can't speak any higher of this product.

I tried buying this item twice, and both times it was welded incorrectly. As the image shows, the bar is supposed to curve down at the ends, but the way they are welded would make them curve upwards. At this point, it seems to be a manufacturing quality issue and I would not recommend purchasing until that has been resolved. Attached are photos.

Semble très solide la boites viens avec les outils mais la clef pour les écroux n’est pas la bonne grandeur donc ayez vos outils à disposition. Matériaux solide!

Factory Defect, Mounting brackets welded on the wrong side. Which means the outside handles curve up, forced to deal with a return.
