I am currently being treated with a semi-permanent acupuncture needle in my ear and cannot get it wet. What the office gave me to use to cover my ear while showering wasnt working, so I started looking for other options. I am extremely happy with this product! It says it's water proof. While I wouldnt go that far, I have been very surprised at there only being a few drops of water on the inside of the ear cups after I get out of the shower.

I got this bc I have a few cartilage ear piercings and ever since I got the flat piercing going to the hair salon has beem nerve wrecking. It kept irritating my flat piercing and I wanted something to keep it from getting impact trauma from getting accidentally touched by my hair stylist. This works perfectly! Today I only had a trim so I made sure to hold it with my hand on the left side. However, if you actually connect the two ear guards it's less messy and more suitable for longer appointments. Highly recommend and btw the fit is great, plenty of room and not tight at all.

I have a perforated eardrum so that I have to keep my ears dry. This works really good in the shower, keeps my ears perfectly dry.

These are perfect. Keeps the water out of my ears.

For me this keeps some water out, but not all. But the water sort of collects in the oval piece and then I pull it out and dump the water. So far the water collects there instead of going into my ear. That's better than before. But it doesn't seal around the ear or anything like that.

Wife loves it for use with the high velocity Dyson hair dryer. Good for average to small ears, larger ears might not fit.

Hurts! It’s heavy so it slides down so your ears end up w a lot of pressure & if i bought this for new piercings like i did, they are useless bec it kept touching my ear and making the new piercings hurt :( also it is small, so if your ears are like mine ~ on the smaller side but swollen bec of the piercings ~ the sides of the ear covers touch the sides of my ear. So if you have larger sized ears they won’t fit!

Great idea, but doesn’t work as well with longer hair (i.e. longer than a pixie cut). It doesn’t matter how I position the ear covers, they slide and move, allowing water to get in; it can be expected if you think about it. If you simply want to keep water out of your ears when showering or washing your hair, just use some decent earplugs. I bought this item to prevent my new ear piercing from getting too wet and to keep germs from infecting it when I washed my hair. My piercing was healing poorly and I was trying to do my part to protect it. Ear covers did help keep some water off my new piercing, but it was more of a nuisance. It took longer to wash my hair because I realized I was limiting necessary movements to keep the ear covers on. Finally, it was just easier to wash my hair without them. I just washed my hair faster without all the extra scalp massaging. These ear covers were also kind of pricey for the amount of water that actually gets in. Should $10 or less in my opinion.
