Game changer!
This keyboard with banana switches has completely transformed my typing experience. The aluminum build quality feels premium, and QMK/VIA customization lets me create perfect shortcuts. Both Bluetooth and 2.4GHz wireless work flawlessly with zero lag.The banana switches are an absolute joy to type on - each keystroke feels smooth and satisfying with the most amazing sound profile I've ever heard from a keyboard. The acoustic experience is simply sublime, making every typing session feel like music. I'm typing faster and more accurately, and genuinely look forward to using it just to hear those beautiful key presses. The battery life is excellent and rarely needs charging, even with RGB enabled. If you're considering a premium mechanical keyboard, the Q6 Max with banana switches is absolutely worth it. Highly recommended!

Keychron Q6 Max Review – A Heavy-Hitting Nostalgic Powerhouse
The Keychron Q6 Max is an absolute beast of a keyboard that instantly transports me back to the golden era of IBM metal keyboards from my middle school days. Right out of the box, the full-metal construction exudes durability, giving it a weighty, premium feel that ensures it stays firmly in place on my desk—no accidental slides here unless you're deliberately moving it.Typing Experience & SwitchesEquipped with Gateron Banana switches, the typing experience is smooth and incredibly satisfying. The tactile feedback is reminiscent of old-school IBM buckling spring keyboards, though with a slightly more modern and, admittedly, louder twist. The sound is deep, crisp, and borderline obnoxious, making it a potential nightmare in open office environments—but for home use, it's a dream come true for mechanical keyboard enthusiasts.Performance & CustomizationSince switching to the Q6 Max, my typing speed has noticeably improved at least 10% increase. The hot-swappable PCB makes it easy to swap out switches if you ever feel like experimenting. QMK/VIA support means extensive customization, from remapping keys to setting up macros effortlessly. The programmable knob is a handy addition, whether you're adjusting volume, scrolling, or fine-tuning other controls.Connectivity & RGBWith Bluetooth, 2.4 GHz wireless, and USB-C wired options, the connectivity is seamless, catering to Mac, Windows, and Linux users alike. The RGB backlighting is bright and vibrant, though it can be turned off or adjusted to more subtle effects if you prefer a more understated look.Final ThoughtsIf you're looking for a heavy-duty, nostalgia-packed keyboard with modern features, the Keychron Q6 Max is a stellar choice. However, its loud switches might not be ideal for office environments unless you work alone or have a soundproof space. Overall, this keyboard is a masterpiece for mechanical keyboard lovers who appreciate both function and form.Rating: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ (5/5)✅ Pros:✔️ Solid metal build – heavy, sturdy, and premium✔️ Fantastic tactile typing experience with banana switches✔️ QMK/VIA support for deep customization✔️ Multiple connectivity options (Bluetooth, 2.4 GHz, USB-C)✔️ Hot-swappable PCB for switch customization✔️ Smooth, programmable knob❌ Cons:❌ Loud key switches – not ideal for shared workspaces❌ Weighty – not the most portable optionWould I recommend it? Absolutely—if you love old-school IBM keyboards and want a modern mechanical upgrade, the Q6 Max is a dream come true!

Defective product & horrible customer service
Battery would not charge, but I could not return it after a month. Contacted Keychron for help. They demanded I provide a video of the keyboard not charging!? Seriously … ??? Horrible customer service, on a defective product. Not recommended. :(

Wonderful, expensive keyboard, but heavvvvy!
Oh this keyboard is just wonderful to type on! It's buttery smooth with the brown switches, and it sounds so solid and "thocky" when typing on it. Was worried about it not having a way to adjust the typing angle, but it's perfect for me. Depending on where you use it, this could be a pro or a con. For me, it's a pro--this thing is solid and *heavy*. It doesn't slide around uncontrollably on your desk like a $20 basic keyboard which is good. It stays put because it's as heavy and solid as a brick. Being so solid, it makes everything you type seem important and purposeful. But, the weight means that you're not moving this thing around much, and don't even think of traveling with it. It ain't gonna happen!Of course, nothing is perfect, but this keyboard is pretty close for me. My primary annoyance after using it daily for a couple of weeks is the placement of the knob. I use it for its default purpose which is to adjust the system's volume. Being stuck in the middle of the top row of keys it's very awkward to use. There's just not enough room from the surrounding keys to use it comfortably or easily. It's like trying to use boat oars as chop sticks to pickup a grain of rice. I wish there was a way for Keychron to have positioned it at the edge of the keyboard so that using it isn't restricted by the close proximity of the surrounding keys. A knob is better than using a key shortcut, but in this case, only very slightly better. The unfortunately-placed knob aside, everything else about the keyboard is exceptional. Is it economical to buy? Absolutely not. Is it worth every penny? Would I buy it again. Yeah, I very much would. As long as it lasts at least 5 years then I won't have any regrets about shelling out the dollars for this premium mechanical keyboard with a premium typing experience..

Q6 max keyboard review
Very crisp feel and sound, definitely easy to setup and use. I feel like it’s super sturdy and will last me a while. Comes with key cap removal tools and easy to switch out the switches. The LED isn’t super bright but it’s good enough for me. It’s definitely worth the cost as the macros are easy to setup and it feels like it’s built to last
