I miss the similar sharpeners we had - screwed to every wall in every American classroom. This German design (via Taiwan) seems to work well, though the directions are confusing: "Turning the pin on the handle counterclockwise sharpens the pencil long and sharp (ideally for graphite pencils)." Not very helpful. That's only counterclockwise from the perspective of the pencil - looking into the hole. Is sees the crank turning clockwise. But as a human being holding the crank, you want to turn it CLOCKWISE - the way your right foot pedals a bicycle. And that's exactly how this sharpener works. The normal turn for normal pencils is CLOCKWISE. (Just like back in school.)

We have tried many sharpeners for a long time. It was a waste of time and money. It is better to buy a cheap one only once than to buy a cheap one many times.

I would expect great quality from brand such as Staedler Mars but alas…. Clamping this down to the table cracks the plastic and so you end up unable to clamp it down really tightly to stop it from moving. This wouldn’t happen with older models. I think they have sacrificed on quality and made it too light and flimsy.

Franchement incroyable, des crayons de couleurs de qualité taillés parfaitement, très peu de copeaux, mine parfaite pour économiser ces très précieux crayons. Rapide, et facile d'utilisation. Mais comment j'ai fait jusqu'à maintenant ! je recommande cet article pour un prix raisonnable

PRO: - SICURO: col cassettino chiuso la possibilità che schegge di legno o graft vadano in giro si riduce sensibilmente (soprattutto se usato da bambini) - DELICATO sulle mine: essendo ben centrato e temperando con una fresa (e non una lama) si rischia molto meno di forzare la mina, col rischio di romperla - TIPO DI PUNTA selezionabile: basta girare una vite si può selezionare se si vuole una punta sottile (da matita per scrivere) o un po' più arrotondata (più utile per i colori) - ROBUSTO: solo il cassettino è in plastica, al tatto e dopo qualche settimana di uso sembra un oggetto decisamnt votato alla durabilità nel tempo - SMONTABILE: è facile da smontare per essere pulito ogni tanto - ARRESTO automatico: quando la matita è temperata il giusto si può continuare a girare all'infinito, ma la matita non viene più temperata, evitando rotture dlla mina e/o consumo eccessivo della matita (funzione comodissima, soprattutto per i bambini!!!) - FLESSIBILE: tempera qualsiasi cosa abbia diametro compreso nel range specificato, ci ho temperato matite/matitoni a sezione tonda, triangolare, esagonale... tutti prfettamnte temperati CONTRO - ingombra più un temperino "normale" OVERALL Straconsigliato, se cercate un temperino sicuro, robusto, affidabile e che non vi danneggi le matite; da tenere sulla scrivania, o comunque su un tavolo
