Klein Tools 65400 KNECT 15-Piece Pass Through Socket Set, SAE Impact Set with MODbox Case, Sockets, Bits, Accessories and 3/8-Inch Drive Adapter

I am so impressed with Klein tools. Not only are they top quality, the thought put into their design is outstanding. The way the sockets seat into both the ratchet and the screw driver handle, the reversible sockets that support two sizes each, the modular containers that connect to each other.. it really showcases the innovation from this company. I also really appreciate that the sockets and bits are impact rated, so they will have hold up when used with power tools or your most difficult tasks. Great quality tools like these are definitely worth the price.

I’m completely new to Klein Tools, but after getting my hands on this Impact Socket Set, I am officially a fan for life! In fact, I’ve already ordered more Klein tools because I’m that impressed by their quality and design. I originally bought this set to keep in my truck for any “just in case” moments, and wouldn’t you know it—on the very first day I had them, an unexpected repair popped up. These sockets handled the job with ease-even in the bitter cold! Right away, I noticed how solid and well-built these tools are, especially compared to any other socket sets I’ve used. The 90-tooth pass through ratchet is incredible in tight spaces, only needing a few degrees to operate—this has been a game-changer already. It felt more firm and secure than any thing I have ever used, little to no play in anything. I am not scared that I will lose a socket in the engine bay anymore. The handle is not only comfortable but also extremely practical, fitting all the adapters, bits, and sockets with no hassle. Having both SAE and metric sizes, plus the ability to use any traditional socket with the specialized square-drive adapter, has made this the most versatile set in my toolbox. The fact that everything is impact-rated and fits neatly into the compact, modular system (which nests perfectly in the Klein MODbox system that I am looking to experiment more with soon) is just icing on the cake. Overall, this Klein Tools socket set has completely exceeded my expectations. It’s reliable, robust, and brilliantly designed for convenience. Absolutely love this tool kit. Has gotten me out of a few tight jams trying to screw in a #8 Phillips screw in a very confined space where even a short 2-in Phillips screwdriver wasn’t small enough (see pic). This tools kit is very versatile. Used it to crank in lug bolts securely without needing to pull out impact driver, as well as the screwdriver bits.

High quality you’d expect from Klein, arrived fast and works so well, I climb trees and need tools on the go quickly, this is a wonderful kit for exactly that.

These Klein tool kist are great. I have several now. Keep in house and cars. The adaptability between many of their tools makes having a large tool box for car repairs unnecessary

There are so many KNECT options from which to choose. For a home tool kit, this (65500KNECT), combined with a version of the 65300 which includes a driver handle and a couple of their flip sockets, and the 32787 precision driver set (both sold at Lowes, I think) is about the most complete combination of KNECT tools across all of their sets that I've managed to assemble. In most cases that gives you two ratchet wrenches (with the smaller wrench from the 65300 also available for tighter spaces) and sockets so that you can back a nut and bolt. Adding the precision driver and sockets is sufficient for almost any household task, from basic car maintenance to household electronics repair. It isn't the cheapest set of tools you can find, but the tool cases compactly lock together (which is great for keeping them in an readily accessible place in a house or apartment), the tools are well made, and the KNECT tools are incredibly versatile in how they can be used with each other and with other tool systems. For this kit, specifically, I wish there was more room for some of the larger deep-well sockets, instead of the pass through driver handle. But that is only from the perspective of a home maintenance toolkit. This _was_ one of the only KNECT kits that includes KNECT metric sockets. (In addition to the deep-well metric sockets) I think the 65400KNECT also had the metric sockets, now. But I don't remember seeing it when I was investing in this tool ecosystem.

Wonderful compact set! I use this more than anything else. It doesn't do well with the low profile in tight corners. Otherwise amazing, durable, easy to use, versatile, and very strong.

First of all, I am extremely satisfied with this set and would purchase it again knowing what I know now. I use it almost every day and the problem I’ve found may be from abuse. While I’m unsure of how I may have caused this issue I want to own the fact that the failure might be from misuse. The sockets are held in their mounts by retaining rings. Upon purchase the sockets slipped in and out of the driver, the impact adapter and the extension like butter, but this has changed. The driver handle and impact adapter still work great, but the retaining ring in my extension has become malformed somehow. My fault or the engineer’s I can’t say, but the ring appears to have developed an edge and tightened in diameter making it difficult to insert a socket. I managed to solve the problem by removing the ring and delicately stretching it back out to its original diameter. While it works for a while I need to repeat this repair every so often. Im grateful that it has never once dropped a socket, and I’ve never had this problem with the impact adapter or the driver handle, but I figured I’d mention this for any potential buyers. That said, I would still purchase this set again. It’s extremely versatile and by the struggles I put it through I am happily surprised to have no other issues. Maybe give the poor thing a drop of oil once in a while.
