I've really appreciated the level of detail and structure in the TEF Rastons series so far. It's been a helpful resource as I prepare for the exam, and I’ll share a more complete update once I’ve finished. One thing to note is that the Compréhension Écrite and Compréhension Orale books each contain only four full practice tests. While the quality is solid, those expecting more volume might want to supplement with additional materials. That said, the Expression Orale & Expression Ecrite book stands out as exceptionally thorough. It includes a great list of common phrases, excuses, and suggested solutions—very practical for preparing real responses. With 100 sample tests (each with answer suggestions) and 100 additional topics for practice, it offers a wealth of material to build fluency and confidence. Overall, a strong series—especially for oral preparation—with clear guidance and solid examples throughout.

I highly recommend this book to anyone aiming for a high score on the TEF Canada exam.

Very informative and pretty much covers everything

I love this one for preparing the TEF Canada. This one comes with audio files and it helped me to mentally prepare for the test. I just took my first TEF and I am so glad that I had this book. I already have bunch of French textbooks but all of them are written in French, since my French level is not high it was not easy to understand the explanation of the answer. This book explains what to expect in English. I purchased the Kindle version and when I don't understand the sentence it was easy to use a translator in the Kindle, with no distractions during the study. After this I also purchased Expression Ecrite and I am very happy. After receiving the results I may purchase other textbooks as well.
