I decided to give Warhammer 40k miniature figure building a go but didn't want to sink in too much money for a first time go as the figures themselves are expensive enough and I might not have enjoyed it. This has been the spot on set of tools for that first try.bThey are a no nonsense, no frills set of tools with everything required for dipping your toes into miniature figure building. As a complete beginner to this I have found them easy to use and good enough to get going and still gain decent results at the end of the build and not hurt myself either! The snips and craft knife have kept their sharpness and work wonders on the plastic. With the extra sharps also being included I suspect this set will last well into my figure building career. The emery boards are decent but their life is dependant on how much you use them. I have used mine heavily for each figure and I feel it would last 10 figures with for me before I look to replace it. It has 3 levels of roughness with there being 2 different ones on one side and a buffing/final smoothing strip on the back. That strip works beautifully for the figures. There is also a larger corse board in there which is nice to have bit not really useful for miniature figure building but might be worth while for larger models or your nails. Handy carry case to keep it all tidy too, little flimsy but is also expected at this price point. Overall save yourself a while load of money by starting with this kit rather than spending 10x more at GW for their version of the same tools.

I bought the Mellbree 14-piece Model Making Tools Kit to help me assemble my book nook kits, and it has been a great addition to my workspace. The set includes all the essentials like pliers, tweezers, a carving knife with spare blades, a file, polishing bars, and even a cleaning cloth, all neatly packed in a storage box. The tools feel sturdy and reliable, and they made handling small, delicate parts much easier. For the price, it offers excellent value and is ideal for beginners. The only reason I didn’t give it five stars is that the handles aren’t very ergonomic, so long sessions can feel a little uncomfortable. Also, a dedicated side-cutting nipper would have been a nice inclusion for cleaner sprue removal. Despite these minor drawbacks, the kit has been perfect for trimming, filing, and placing tiny components in my book nooks. Overall, it’s a solid starter kit that I would happily recommend to anyone working on detailed craft projects.

I used these to model my Star Wars shatter point models, perfect as a starter kit for any beginner model enthusiast. Would work great with warhammer too, I’ve used the clippers, a few files and the tweezers whilst assembling and painting my models. There was nothing I thought was lacking from this kit.

Honestly - If you are a wargamer or any sort of miniatures gamer - this is a must have - all the basic tools you need to put your miniatures together and they all come in a handy dandy carry case. that being said - these work great not just for minatures but 3d prints AND gunpla! :D enjoy peeps!

The first time I ordered this it came in good condition and I really enjoyed using it on my gunpla, unfortunately the same cannot be said for when I ordered it for my partner , when they opened the case they realised that the tools had looked used and upon further inspection we found that the tools had scratches on them an the snippers weren’t even aligned . all in all it’s ok I think so Im just gonna try again. Wish me luck

This is a good, basic tool set for a beginner to modelling, but you get what you pay for and the quality isn't great. I found that the screw thread on the collar that keeps the scalpel blade in place kept loosening, so make sure it's tight before you make a crucial cut. However, for the price I paid for it, it is very good value.
