You just need these headphones for life.
#1 aspect is the value. For headphones of this quality to cost this low is rare. Sound quality: Deep & rich sound, amazing noise cancelling. Control: easy pairing, intuitive volume adjustment and song change. Battery is fine. I charge once every 2 months with 2-3 hours/day of use. Comfort: They’re fine. My ears did not hurt. Durability: My first pair lasted 2 years, however, one day, I adjusted too fast or something and they snapped. But 2 years is a long time of no incidence as any headphones will break eventually, and this time was my fault.

Great headphones at a great price
Just arrived today. I tried it with a few songs and it slaps. Great noise cancellation, comes with a usbc cable, 3.5 mil cable, and a nice hardshell case. I also listen to audiobooks and I will add that the "speech" setting in the eq of the app is essential for things like that, otherwise it sounds very off. I also tested it with my Xbox and it works there as well. Very comfortable to wear, lightweight, and aesthetically not bad. 5/5 I'm glad to be a sony customer. Also as a side note, I know about the hinge thing, and I knew about it when I bought it. I checked the serial number of my product and it is in the range of affected ones (which includes the extended warranty) and I will update if I have issues.

Great for the average music listener!
This is one of the best purchases I’ve ever made. The headphones look nice and overall discreet; not too flashy. The plastic material used on the outside of the headphones as well as the earmuff material has held up very well after around 6 months of frequent use. The earmuffs themselves are very comfortable and cover my ears nicely and provide a good, secure, fit where I don’t have to worry about them falling off if moving around or bending over briefly. Battery life is also excellent, I charge them about once a week if that, although in my use case I typically keep them on max 5 hours at a time, with them being used most days of the week. Your battery life may vary of course depending on your usage. The provided app is nice as it gives access to settings, updates, as well as different EQ settings. I only messed around with the app a few times but don’t really ever use it, but that’s just me. The noise cancellation and transparency features are very nice and well made, transparency mode is very good and is better than my gen 1 AirPods Pros. Noise cancellation is also very good as well and blocks out most noise. Both of these settings are also nicely controlled via a button on the left earmuff (there is a setting for automatic switching which I personally shut off as I found it irritating). There’s also a special mode which is essentially a bass booster mode that’s controlled via a big button on the left earmuff with auditory queues that amplifies the bass nicely. The right earmuff also features a touch pad for gesture-based controls that allow for up/down for volume, skip or repeat track, and can even go forward or backwards in a song. It works pretty good and is convenient!! You can even tap and hold to activate Siri which I imagine would also activate Google Assistant on an Android. As for sound quality I am not an audiophile and am an average consumer when it comes to music but these headphones fit my listening needs perfectly. The sound is very clear and high quality to my ears and as someone who personally enjoys more bass these headphones are perfect for that. The very few negatives I have are I’ve noticed recently that if I rapidly tap down or up my phone’s volume buttons there will be a slight delay in response with the headphones and a few times the headphones will adjust the volume more than the clicks implied; however this could just be a phone/operating system thing rather than the headphones themselves. Another issue I had was with the automatic transparency/noise cancelling switching…I just found it annoying and would switch it to transparency only for it to shortly switch back to noise cancellation. There was also another very odd bug and annoyance that began a few months ago but has since not occurred in about a couple months where the headphones would randomly completely disconnect abruptly without the disconnecting sound playing. It was quite frustrating and my theory is possibly some interference when my Apple Watch would get close to the left earmuff. Whatever caused the issue has since not occurred. Another added unintentional bonus is that wearing these even while not listening to anything provides a nice soothing/calming feeling, good for those who struggle with anxiety or mental health issues. Overall I would absolutely recommend purchasing these!!! As an average audio/music consumer these are perfect for me and the price was very well worth it.

Great volume and deep bass
I love these headphones. I wanted the more expensive ones but for the money, these rock. You can get them nice and loud, unlike theee wimpy other brands. They fit perfect and you can lay on your side without it cutting off. The battery lasts forever and they connect immediately. Wish they were a little more sturdy but if you take care of them they should last.

Some high end features at a midrange price, could use audio over USB-C
These headphones don’t have any significant problems, and I think they’re a decent step up from more budget headphones without breaking the bank too hard. Sound quality is pretty decent. I used the 5 band EQ in the Sony app to crank up the highs to increase clarity, and I generally like how they sound. The ULT button can add an extra kick at times, but I usually just leave that off. They also come with touchpad controls, simultaneous multi-device connection, and wear detection - features on high end headphones that I appreciate. Noise cancelling and transparency are highlights of these headphones, as they do a great job at blocking out surrounding noise. Put on some music and noise cancelling in a coffee shop, and you won’t even realize people are there. The transparency mode is also quite good. Super high-end headphones - like the Airpods Max - probably have better transparency mode, but the ULT Wear is already 98% of the way there. They’re generally pretty comfortable, and I can wear them for several hours at a time without issue. The battery life is long enough that I don’t really need to think about it. A hardshell case is included with these headphones, as well as your standard USB-C and 3.5 mm headphone cable. This is appreciated over the CH720N, as those headphones don’t come with a case. I do wish that these accessories were color matched though, as you still get a black case and cable even with the white version of these headphones. Another minor complaint I have is that the headphones stick out a little more than others, but you can’t really do anything about that. Bluetooth latency is bad enough for this not to be great for rhythm games or hardcore gaming. One missing feature that would have improved this product would be audio over USB-C. Using the 3.5mm jack to connect the headphones to a PC works and fixes latency, but they sound much better if you turn the headphones on instead of working passively. This means that they'll be draining battery despite being connected physically. Overall, I generally really like these headphones, but there’s always room for improvement.

XM5 Level of Noise Cancellation, it works like a charm, you cant even hear person next to you, but dont worry, ambient mode got you, its whole different thing, its like your ears got superpower. Bass is unmatched, the bass youre looking for is here. The Case feels premium, Headphones itself are very premium, Multi point connectivity is sooo smooth. Gestures work great without any delay, you dont need to swipe your fingers hard, it works with soft touches. My Advice - Play with Equalizer on Sound connect app, and make a perfect sound for you. I have big ears still it covers my ears perfectly, feels extremely comfortable. I have seen many reviews with hinge issue, still i took risk, and gonna handle these headphones with extreme care (well it depends on how you keep it) I trust Sony! You can never go wrong with these headphones. Headphones are quite big, yet doesnt feel heavy on head. The case is also quite big, so its gonna take good space in your bag. Got these at very good deal (below 10k)
