A cracking saw loaded with features.
I’ve e been using this saw for about a month now, and can honestly say it’s fantastic for the price. Compared to other saws around the same price range (and even more expensive), it is loaded with great features. I especially like the sliding mitre sledge, and the easily adjustable fence which can quickly be removed or repositioned for wider cuts up to 650mm. I have several tips before you get started with it however. Firstly take a look online for videos from people who have used it, they are very useful and help you set it up. Once out the box and assembled “calibrate” all the settings, ie blade vertical and 45 degree alignment, riving knife alignment, fence to blade distance reading (I find the scale is correct for the narrower fence setting but not for the wider setting). Also check the height of the blade’s throat plate. I had to adjust most of these settings before use. On to things I don’t like about the saw, there aren’t many but the main one is the cover over the top of the blade, it’s made of plastic, feels flimsy and gets in the way, I removed it almost immediately and if you have the suction pipe connected to it too it only gets in the way. Next, on the R255TBL you get a 90 degree elbow for the dust exhaust port, but on this the + model you don’t, you get a twin outlet T instead designed to attach a vacuum to. I taped up the right angle outlet on this to leave the straight through outlet open then simply pushed on a 90 degree kitchen waste pipe elbow to blow the dust down into a bucket. The only other gripe is as I mentioned above, the scale for the fence distance is spot on when reading on the narrower scale, but once you switch to the wider setting it’s is about 6mm out meaning you have to keep double checking distance to blade with a tape measure. In conclusion, the saw is loaded with features you don’t even find on more expensive saws, it’s great to use and makes nice clean cuts, just set it up first.

Fantastic saw…great introductory table saw
This was my first table saw, spent a lot of time reading and watching to decide what to go for. There are a lot of comparison videos and articles out there where this saw comes out on top and I can see why. Super easy to set-up…only a few simple screws to put in to attach a few handles etc. No words in the instructions but the pictures are relatively easy to follow. Slow start mechanism helps with the noise level…but I also used ear defenders. Dust collection is very effective just spits it all out the pipe at the back….you can either direct it into a bucket or attach vacuum. I did read that because the stock blade was a combination blade that it wasn’t the best…and that maybe true but my first cuts through 3/4 inch plywood, pine boards gave super easy, smooth clean cuts. Even at 45 bevel. Fence super accurate straight out of the box. The whole thing feels really sturdy and the materials feel of high-quality. Should have bought one of these years ago!

Great
The best job site saw I have ever owned. If you buy one check out the Casual DIY video on YOU tube on setting up and fine tuning. Worth every penny.

Amazing Performance.
This replaced a cheap table saw that has died. This is a large step up from the previous, showing amazing versatility and the first test cut of cheap plywood was amazingly good with no frays, so good I'm buying the stand. No dust either when the vacuum was attached - unheard of with the previous saw.

Very noisy
This is a great saw But it has flaws. If your intention is to build this onto a mobile workbench, I would suggest it's not the ideal choice. Not being able to lay hands on one and despite the information coming from evolution being scance and at times erroneous, I purchased 255tbl plus. I had to remove and discard the out fieldsupport, not needed , the handle grips on either side, the bump stops to the left.. Then came some considerable thought ast to how the bench should be modified to make the saw fit. The positives are the dust extraction is first class the best I have seen. Although the top hose could be longer for some wide sheet work. Fence works really well as does the cross cut slide. Negatives principally the noise level is extraordinarily high even when not cutting.

Excellent value for money
It's hard to see what Evolution could have done to improve this table saw for the price, it's excellent value for money. Make sure you take the time to set it up properly and you get perfectly square, accurate cuts every time. The mitre guage could be better so factor that in for a future upgrade.

as described and would recommend
I've had evolution tools before and didn't think much of them, thought I would try one more time and god is this an improvement! Good quality, quite light for its size, quiet against some other makes and lots of utility tools that comes with it.

How long does it take…
Took more than 4 months to arrive, and once it finally did it was damaged. The clue being the bashed and split box …. What a total pain.
