The Elgato Stream Deck is a extremely useful productivity tool for everyone who uses their computer commonly, and it allows you to set up shortcuts for pretty much anything (especially with the plugin marketplace). It's easy and fast to set up with the Stream Deck app, and runs smooth as butter. There's certainly a lot of heft in the product, and it feels very high quality for the price. The display is gorgeous compared to similar products on the market, and if you use their included icon pack (or download ones off the marketplace) it is easy to tell exactly what button you're pressing at a glance. Looks beautiful on a desk too.

This was a bit of a punt. It sounded like it could be useful, but I wasn't entirely sure. Having bought one, it's a great little device. So far I have six 'pages' of individual buttons. I have a set of buttons for managing Spotify, including a button that toggles play and stop that shows the album cover art for whatever is playing. I then have other pages for specific tasks and software, all of which make key tasks much easier. Finally, I have a page of Hue bulb buttons that toggle between light settings and other useful tasks. All of this took an hour or so to configure and I've barely scratched the surface of what is available from the 'Envato Store', everything so far has been free to download.

Very convenient and leaves me wondering how I ever got by without one for simple automation. But there is a bit of a technical learning curve for programming in shortcuts to open programs if you're not otherwise used to the more advanced side of using a computer. Otherwise, convenient.

only worth to buy it when it cost 60-ish

Easy to set up and very useful tool. I find it helpful to supplement Mac keys for increased efficiently. Paid £60 for it June 2025 but wouldn’t pay beyond that.

Unreal bit of kit for the money, so fast and seamless when connected to my Mac!

This is a great little thing, whether you are muting yourself or others in discord with a single press; spamming your friends with sound boards; controlling your music app without leaving the game you're in; or even using it for macros while you are working. it takes very little room on your desk and is always in reach. Good and sturdy and very readable. Although 99% of functionality is there right out of the box and everything you need for streaming or discord is right there. Some set up is required depending on the app you are going to use it with, so do a quick google check about how easy you app is to set up with a stream deck.
