Step By Step Perspective Flowers: A Guide On How To Draw Flowers From Side View Angles

I have both of the other flower books by this author, as well as the ocean animals book. I have found these to be the best drawing books out there. The guides really help you to get the flowers/animals to look good. Each step is clear and makes sense. That brings me to this book. Once I saw that Aska had another flower book out, this one on perspective flowers, I knew I had to have it. A quick flip through shows a good level of difficulty, from beginner to intermediate, and plenty of flowers to choose from. I also love that the flowers are illustrated in color on the back cover. Perfect inspiration for using my watercolor pencils. I can’t wait to dive in.

I've been making art for over 40 years. Sketching has always fascinated me. After suffering a stroke earlier this year, sketching has been a crucial part of my recovery. This book has given me confidence to expand my sketching adventures. Highly recommend to any beginner artist.

Nice book, great flowers. If you're wanting an actual work-book, that's a big feature here. The drawing pages are generous, and have a charming pattern to prevent bleed through which also might give you inspiration. I'm taking one star off because there's only one perspective for each flower- in fact, all the flowers present at basically the same perspective, which would be problematic if you, say, wanted to draw a bouquet. I do, actually want to draw a bouquet, and am really disappointed that a book on perspective did not teach me how to draw *different* perspectives. So, for my purposes this wasn't much more informative than YouTube videos. However, the examples are still useful as drills.

This is the second book by Aska Hall. I have really enjoyed this book on drawing from different perspectives. I’m a (very) beginner artist and this has really enhanced my abilities! I do recommend all THREE of her books.
