This elis exactly what I was looking for! My first grader's teacher sends home simple reading passages and I wanted more to help him practice. Many easy reader books have too many words that are more advanced than he's ready for and he gets frustrated quickly. These are perfect. He can read all of it, with only a little help. And I like the questions so we can work on comprehension as well.

This workbook is exactly what I needed!! It's fun for kids to do (great stories) and such good fluency and comprehension practice. Everything was really clear and easy to understand. I used to be a 1st grade teacher and I can say that the activities are really high quality! So, so easy for parents to use at home even if you're not sure exactly how to help your child with reading!

I love the large print and minimum distractions in the page. Would be nicer if there were 4 questions on each comprehension page, instead of 3. A multiple choice question would be a great addition too. It’s nice that the book is consistent in reading level so you can use all the passages similarly and that it doesn’t increase in difficulty with each new story.

Thought for my son who was struggling with fluency. He enjoys reading them and answering the questions at the end. For him drawing a picture of the story was the fun part. And motivation to finish the entire passage. However, I wish they had the word counts on the sides of the lines.

My son is going to 1st grade. It is easy to read and understand. I would definitely buy it again

Not worth the money, I should have written the stories myself.
