This is a small-ish hard case, in this instance for storing an OBD2 scanner. I shan't be using it for that, since I saw the measurements in the photos and have something else in mind which can be stored inside. Points of note... - It has a firm shell made of EVA. - There are two compartments - one (with strap) for the device, and another (with netting) for cables / manual. - The inside is a smooth fabric, but it is not 'high quality velvet' (which is what it says in the listing). - It is opened & closed with a zip - Has a carry strap - Is splashproof The measurements are a little inaccurate in the listing. Outside measurements = 10.5 x 8 x 5.8cm Inside measurements = 9 x 6 x 5cm So, the length & width measurements are 5mm less than in the photo, which means the device I am going to put inside is unexpectedly tight. The final issue is the zip... At every corner of the case, the zip becomes significantly difficult to move, as the zip is too tightly bound to the nearby fabric. There is hardly any space for the flat inner part of the zip, so you find yourself repeatedly tugging at the zip to try and make it advance. I did the old trick of rubbing candlewax on the zip, as well as pulling at the fabric to see if I could loosen it, and it did seem to help. I almost gave the case 3 stars (for an 'average' product), due to the smaller than listed size, and the difficult zip, but since it probably does fit the Topscan OBD2 scanner, is a nice protective case anyway, and the fact that I was able to improve the workings of the zip, I have given it 4 stars - but only by the skin of its teeth.

The case is a firm EVA so should give good protection and it seems put together well enough and the zip works fine. The dimensions stated are EXTERNAL and while accurate, bear in mind that they are the maximums, and the sides curve slightly, so the interior space is much smaller. They should state interior sizes. My interior minimum sizes are 87mm long, 57mm wide, 58mm deep (26mm each half of the clam shell case). But the case is sized for a specific thing, but of course can be used for anything that fits. For this type of case though I think the price of £14 (Apr 24) is a touch high for the type of item it is. For this and the sligtly misleading sizing 1.5 * off.
