It works, and is cheap. Could be sturdier, but for the price, can't complain.

Bought a Chinese special mobo+cpu+ram combo, totally overlooked that it only had 1 pcie 16x and a 1x... Used this adapter for a low end video card for the headless OS install. Worked perfectly, and is super cheap compared to competitors.

Trattasi di un semplice adattatore PCIe da X1 a X16. Avevo la necessità di utilizzare una scheda RAID con connettore PCIe X8, e avevo esaurito gli slot X8 e X16 liberi sulla motherboard. Rimaneva libero un solo slot PCIe X1, che ho potuto utilizzare grazie a quest'adattatore. Questo è un semplice adattatore, meccanico (quindi non richiede software supplmentare), che permette di inserire una scheda PCIe X16 in uno slot X1. Ovviamente la larghezza di banda sarà ridotta a quella disponibile sugli slot X1. Data la geometria, l'adattatore non è comunque stabile all'interno dello slot, e anche la scheda inserita non si adatta più agli ancoraggi pre-esistenti, cambiando l'ingombro sia in larghezza che in altezza, per cui andrà fissata in qualche modo, anche con ancoraggi posticci come fascette, elastici, etc.; utile per configurazioni provvisorie. Nel complesso ha fatto il proprio mestiere.
