In the fourth season of "Das Boot", the brutal submarine war in the Mediterranean Sea comes to a head, while intrigues and secrets spread through Berlin. Resistance to the Nazis grows within the Kriegsmarine's own ranks. After a shared tragedy, the siblings Klaus (Rick Okon) and Hannie Hoffmann (Rosalie Thomass) find their way back to each other. Both fight for their cause. Klaus has returned to the German Reich from Portugal. As a submarine commander he travels to Naples on a secret mission to change the course of the war. Hannie wants to help the many orphans who have become victims of the war and uncovers infamous machinations of the Nazi Reich. Review: Glad I found it. Good series - I loved the series. I had seen seasons 1-3 and could not find season 4 streaming anywhere. Lucky I found it for purchase. Now I get to see thevrest of the story. I thought the series was very well done and kept me interested. Life in a sub in ww2 was very difficult. Casualties were horrible. Make sure your cd player is compatible with the format. Review: Excellent series. - This is an amazing show with some incredible actors. Ones you cheer for and others you wish would be dumped overboard in the midst of a group of great white sharks. I find it also gives a realistic view of life on board a submarine. Cramped spaces. Ragged emotions. Great action.

Glad I found it. Good series
I loved the series. I had seen seasons 1-3 and could not find season 4 streaming anywhere. Lucky I found it for purchase. Now I get to see thevrest of the story. I thought the series was very well done and kept me interested. Life in a sub in ww2 was very difficult. Casualties were horrible. Make sure your cd player is compatible with the format.

Excellent series.

The good people always get killed before the war ends Always....
The truth says “sometimes the honorable loses everything gets pilloried and eventually ends up not alive.“ Stories need to reflect more tragedy imposed on the conscientious at times so we know that virtue doesn’t always give us that disney happy ending we Americans live for.

Hope to see more seasons!
The suspense is back up! Captain Hoffman is becoming quite the secret agent! Nice to see Gluck return from Season 1 & 2 & returning crew from Season 3. The young Captain isn’t using his UBoot manual, but he’s still inexperienced…Good replacement for Hoffman’s sister. This one seems more fitting for how her role has developed. Some comedy in Italy. Hope there’s a season 5 & Captain Hoffman somehow gets saved.

German revisionist history.
Apparently half the German Navy was actually anti-Nazi and worked to end the war while the evil Americans tried to prolong it to make money. Who knew? The whole underlying premise is ridiculous. Writers should have read a history book. Nonetheless, the series is well filmed and looked authentic.
