Excellent varish, good coverage

This yacht varnish used on external bare mop head handrail, the wood sanded and cleaned before application, fortunately a dry week chosen to apply the varnish as many coats were needed to obtain a good result, unfortunately each coat needed 24hrs to dry before the next which did need sanding with fine paper. After four or five days and coats the surface is that of a quality varnish finish, waterproof and smooth with a clear lacquer suitable for handrail use however had it not been for days of fine weather the result may not have been achieved, the same time period and multiple coats would still have been needed indoors.

Easy to use and came nicely packaged in a plastic bag to prevent any leaks, As you can see from the picture it gives a good coverage and you can see how it darkened the wood, the piece on the right Is the bare wood before varnish was applied, I have applied three coats so far to the interior wood for the boat and on the outside I intend to use it on the hull , If you are going to use a wood dye Try it on a small test piece first as this varnish really does darken the wood to a nice finish , It dries fairly quickly and the brushes clean well with methylated spirit or white spirit overall I am happy with the product and it is as described by the seller and I would use this company again in the future

Proper smelly varnish, not healthy but who care? As long as it does the job on our very wet (at the moment) front gate, well it is Wales after all??
