Great for iphone 8
Great phone case! I had the first generation case for my iPhone 6 and I had it for 2 years and it still worked perfectly and protected my phone! Now, I have the iPhone 8 and the 2nd generation case fits perfectly and is even more sturdy than the 1st gen. It has great style and the paint doesn’t chip off when you drop your phone. It protects your phone really well, I have dropped mine several of times and it has not cracked the screen. This new case also has a stand in the back so that you can see wide screen videos.

Sweet little case
I had used Otter Box for years and didn't like slim cases when I held other people's phones. My Otter Box got all ratty on the rubber again so I took a shot on the dark and got this one. Love it. It is a great fit and has good design to feel secure in your hand, and the little kickstand is a quality addition. I'm probably going to use it for years.

Great Case, Looks good and Good Protection just don't expect a usable stand.
Got a new iPhone 8 and was going from an iPhone 6 with an OtterBox Commuter to take a chance on the Spigen. I am glad I did, price wise it was certainly cheaper and it looks just as sturdy as the OtterBox, I like the feel of this better in the hand too. The Spigen Tough Armor seems to protect better than the Commuter or certainly the Simplicity but It's not as protective as the OtterBox Defender. I had a defender for my old 4S and in my opinion is defender is a bit of an overkill. This case is stylish and protective which is the best of both worlds. The only thing that stops it getting 5 stars is I do not like is the quality of the built-in kickstand which is almost worthless, it cannot be used in portrait as it is on one side and so the iPhone falls to the other side. Then in landscape, it's not very stable and the flimsy stand feels like it could break off at any time. But honestly I did not buy this "Tough Armor" case for the built-in stand and so I will very much recommend it for everything else.

Still the Gold Standard for iPhone 7/8 Protection
Still the Gold Standard for iPhone 7/8 Protection The **Spigen Tough Armor (2nd Gen)** remains one of the best all-around protective cases ever made for the iPhone 7 and 8. Even years later, it strikes that perfect balance between rugged durability and slim form factor—something bulkier cases like the OtterBox Defender can’t match. The dual-layer design combines a soft TPU core with a hard polycarbonate shell, absorbing impacts without feeling bulky. The corners use Spigen’s signature Air Cushion Technology, and it’s one of the few cases in this price range that meets **MIL-STD 810G** drop-test standards. The tactile buttons click nicely, the fit is snug, and the raised lip protects both screen and camera lenses from direct contact with flat surfaces. The built-in kickstand is a great touch for watching videos or Zoom calls hands-free, and the case still supports **wireless charging** without removing it. The Satin Silver finish gives a clean, modern contrast to the iPhone’s design, and the matte texture offers a secure grip while staying pocket-friendly. Bottom line: The Spigen Tough Armor remains a timeless, high-value case—tough, sleek, and thoughtfully designed. If you still use an iPhone 7 or 8, this is arguably the best protective case ever made for it.

NO BUTTONS THAT STICK OUT ON THIS CASE! Great for construction workers that use level/angle finder apps
This one works! I have been looking for a case that has even sides. NO BUTTONS THAT STICK OUT ON THIS CASE! As an electrician, I like to use the angle finder and level on my phone. Not having buttons that stick out makes using the level/angle finder apps way easier. The Buttons are still easily found with touch, and they work well with gloves. This case is rugged and not to bulky. It's edges prevent face contact when laid face down even with my glass screen protector. That said, it is a little slick on the back. I would prefer it to have a bit more grip, but that is just my general preference. The lack of grip does make it much easier to get in and out of my pockets. The swing-out foot is nice, but it would be great if the volume buttons were on top edge when set up, where they could be accessed while watching videos. I recommend that you hook the outer case onto the inner rubber case starting at the ring/silent button. The outer case has a small cleat that needs to capture the rubber and it is much easier to start there.

Built Strong
I decided to buy this case when I figured I should have a case that doesn't have a popsocket; the case with the popsocket, coincidentally, is the same brand, Spigen; it is the "rugged armor" case. Just holding the case without my phone in it, I could tell how tough the case is. It feels sturdy in the hand and not bendable, which in this case, is a good thing. The case has "buttons" on the side for the volume buttons and the lock button. I probably won't have any use for the kickstand since it angles the phone too low or too high for my tastes. It withdraws back into the case with an audible "click." I will give the fifth star if the armor case can stand the test of time. Until then, four stars! I will update the review once a year or so has pass to see if it has survived. UPDATE: While I did say that I was going to come back to this review after a year to update, I have since then gotten a new phone; however, in the short time I have used this case, it did serve its purpose of protecting my phone. I would say this case has earned it's fifth star.

I had a Spigen case on my iPhone SE (Such a great phone!) but it was time to move on from my little SE to a regular sized iPhone (upgraded to the iPhone 7) and as such I needed a new case and the first thing I bought was a Spigen case! My reasoning for this was because I had such a great experience with Spigen previously on my SE, I would go with what I know, and of course, what I trust. The case is exactly the same as my previous case for my SE in that it has the same durability, comfort, and it adds a nice weight to the phone as well. It forms a good grip on the phone, which is the main reason people drop their phones because they tend to slip out of hands. There's not really any need for screen protectors on a Spigen case either, as the case wraps around the device and it has a raised edge to prevent the screen from touching whatever surface the phone is laying on. There is one quality of life improvement I have noticed on this particular case; it has a little clip at the back which acts as a rest if you are watching media on your phone, so this is a nice little touch. If you want a decent case that you want to protect your phone with; don't settle for a gel case. Settle for a Spigen because trust me, it will protect your phone for years! I know this as my iPhone SE is scratch free and still looks brand new.
