Great controller
I found my old game cube but the controller was broken. Ordered this and it works great. Just what I was looking for!

A bit clicky/scrapey but otherwise good
It works pretty well as a replacement since my official controller died, however the shoulder triggers are clearly not manufactured very well as they 'scrape' and occasionally catch so they're not the easiest to press down. The ZR button also feels like it gets stuck down (though it doesn't press the actual button). Overall can't complain as you get what you pay for.

Didn't last an hour
These look the part but everything else is really subpar. The buttons aren't responsive, they catch and scrape on the case. L + R in particular really grind, to the point that they're difficult to press at times. The buttons are all at different heights, making simultaneous button presses really challenging. When the rumble kicks in, it feels like the whole controller is going to fall apart. It also activates the start button randomly. However the most egregious flaw with this controller was the left stick developing severe drift in under an hour of use. Rendering the entire controller utterly useless. Avoid at all costs. Even in a pinch, the lifespan of these controllers means they won't last long enough for a one-off Mario Party session with family.

Fit For Purpose
I bought the Indigo Blue as well as the Black colours (for differentiation sake) and after a quick test on some gamecube games, they seem to work with no issues! That being said, there were a few minor differences I noticed between the two models I bought. The black one feels heavier, as well as the height on some of the buttons are different, notably the A buttons are on different heights on each controller, but functionality remains the same. Weirdly enough, although the black one was heavier, the Blue one had the stronger rumble. The buttons themselves have a more mechanical/tactile feel as opposed to an official controller (Im using the Super Smash Bros Ultimate one for reference). The Z button in particular is VERY clicky with no travel time. The L+R triggers dont have a satisfying click when you get to the bottom of it but the trigger is still there, just not as satisfying. The Analogue sticks are also on the more stiff side but after breaking them in, I would expect them to loosen up. The Analogue on the blue controller seemed to feel better due to it being at a slightly different height, and I mean Slightly. That being said, this wouldn't effect your gameplay if you were a casual player like me. I only bought these as secondary controllers that friends/relatives can use and theyll only be used a handful of times a year for games like Smash, Mario Party, Mario Kart and 007 games etc. Out of the two, I seem to prefer the Indigo Blue but this could be different for others. If you're into competitive play, I would consider trying to find an official one on eBay thats been cleaned/refurbed, but this is still a good budget option to start with! Happy with my purchase so far 👍🏻

It’s a GameCube controller
For the price it’s obvious it’s not going to feel premium or on par by any means. It’s cheap, it feels cheap and the buttons are a little stiff so it feels very clunky. Not a problem for me, because it works and I can finally play the multiplayer games that I’ve always wanted to play with friends. It does the job and doesn’t pretend to excel as a great controller so it gets 5 stars from me. Would definitely recommend if you can’t be asked to pay more than this and don’t have any nostalgia for the good feeling controllers.

As expected, not brilliant
Would give it 3 1/2 stars if I could. As expected, it's not as good as the Nintendo branded controller and feels very cheap. Button clicks and joystick movements aren't smooth. Saying that, it's a decent price and it does the job.
