This thing works. Bought it awhile back but just got a real chance to use it. Got a check engine light on my car, reset the car a couple of times by taking off the battery terminal for about 30 seconds and the error message would disappear but a day later come back. So I finally decided to give the machine a chance plugged it in and ran a diagnostic test. To my amazement the error code pop up instantly and I was able to get a details on exactly my problem. So I purchased the part changed it out clear the error code with the same diagnosis testing machine and problem solved . No more check engine error on my car dash. This machine save me time and money. If I didn't have this I would have been guessing my problems buying different unnecessary parts and or possibly paying out hundreds of dollars to the mechanic. At the end I paid only $12 for a service part . Wow what a savings, am so proud of myself. Get this tool it works.

We have a car that’s about 10+ years, although we continue to take it to the dealer for anything it needs it’s nice to have this item to try to fix it ourselves and not pay a pretty penny. We’ve already had few of his coworkers ask if they can use it and he keeps sending them to Amazon link to buy their own. 😂 It’s easy to use as far as the code clarity. We google what the code means and get the steps to take from least expensive/most common to worst scenario possibility and having to get it checked by a mechanic. Great price! It’s basic but functional for what we need.

It’s pretty good for the money. It’s a cheaper one but gets the job done. I got it to check the ever present codes on my suburban. I would say it’s good for a homeowner, likely not for a shop. It’s easy to use and works as it should.

highly recommend this tool. have used it several times saving me from having to go to the dealerships. have used in on both my UTV and PU.

This was purchased a a Christmas gift so I have no review as to how it works yet.

Many ob2 scanners do not work with every car. Saying 1996 and newer is only part of it to meet the compatibility. Older ob2 scanner I have does not see my new car but works great with my older cars (1998 Tahoe).. A cheap one reads my car but just does not have in a lot of detail in the readings. You have to look up the number for the code. This one reads my car but some of the features say not compatible with this car. (2015 Taurus)
