Elegant Computing Defined
This incredible, beautiful, elegant and productive laptop showcases what Microsoft is truly capable of, and I'm a Linux guy. I bought the big one - 15" screen, 32 gig RAM, elite CPU. It is a powerhouse of a laptop. Now - there is one con, but as time progresses the problem becomes less and less of a problem and that is the ARM architecture vs standard Intel x86/64. Basically, this laptop uses a newer, different CPU architecture, which means that many applications don't work yet (YET!!). Almost everything I threw at this laptop worked out of the box and worked beautifully. There were some older applications that didn't work (SimCity Deluxe for example). But and this is a huge BUT - as time passes more applications are supported (or emulated effectively) and it becomes less and less an issue. With the 1 CON out of the way, let's talk about how amazing this laptop is: Premium feel (shell and keyboard). As good as or even better than a MacBook. Yes, for real. Speakers sound delightful. The 15"-inch sounds like a big laptop but fits perfectly in my backpack and it is still light and small. I mean, unless you are a 5'2" petite tiny person I don't see how this 15" laptop is too big for someone. It is plenty fast for doing all sorts of productivity like writing papers, excel spreadsheeting, music, internet, YouTube etc. Understand this isn't a fancy Chromebook. Operating System / Applications are exceptionally fast. This laptop WILL make you more productive just by opening it. It makes you want to work it's so nice. Battery life is OUTSTANDING. If you aren't glued to this laptop for hours at a time the battery will last DAYS. Literally days. Touchpad is also legit. No problems with cursor moving around (palm detection) and typing. Just legit good. Even when watching movies it doesn't get hot. Temperature is steady and cool. I love ARM. In closing, get this laptop. It's nice. Really nice. Like honestly, the nicest laptop I've ever owned (I've had the ASUS ROG 2024, two Dell XPS 15's, Razer Blades, etc.,) For my fellow nerds in the crowd: VMWare & Vbox do NOT work. Remember that ARM is a RISC architecture and neither products support ARM (yet). Docker Desktop for Windows DOES work on ARM. Also, WSL 2.0 also works just fine. Also, with the advent of cloud, lightweight servers (I run a small cloud on my home network) we don't need powerhouse laptops anymore if you have supporting infra. When I'm on travel I just VPN into my home network and I have all the resources I need. So keep something light and portable to work from :)

Surface Pro - Excellent Laptop
This PC is excellent—I really like the 15-inch screen. I’ve owned numerous Surface Pro computers over the years, and they’re all still in use. However, storage space eventually became the limiting factor for me, which is why I needed to buy a new PC. One big plus is that I didn’t have to buy any new power cords or docking stations, since this PC uses the same accessories I already had. That made the transition very easy. What I appreciate most is the true laptop feel. I really missed that. While the Surface Pro works well, it’s still a tablet at heart and can be awkward to use as a laptop at times. This device feels solid and natural on your lap, which makes a big difference for everyday work. Yes, it’s not a tablet and you can’t use a pen on the touchscreen—but that doesn’t matter to me since I already have tablets for that purpose. For a dedicated laptop experience with a great screen and seamless compatibility with existing accessories, this PC has been a great choice. The price is a good value too.

Buy this if you're gonna stick to Chrome
There's things you have to consider before buying this laptop. The battery life is good, as expected. The feel is quality. The display is great, and the touchscreen works well. The biggest issue you could run into with this laptop is the Snapdragon processor. This processor runs differently than something like an Intel processor, on ARM architecture. MOST of the time, this isn't a problem. However I have run into issues more than once where applications do not run perfectly without a specific ARM x64 build, which some apps do not offer. Specifically Studio Design apps and some games. I blame the Snapdragon Processor, as I do not have these issues on any other PC or Laptop. But it does get in the way.

Great laptop, caution around development
Very happy. The battery life is impressive, it's lightweight with a compact form, good resolution, good performance for what I use it for (development, not a gamer but it handled AOE III just fine on max settings). The only reason not to give 5 stars is, this is an ARM processor, and support in the development world, isn't all the way there. You can get into certain situations where, some modules rely on pre-compiled libraries, where ARM isn't available. I had issues running Azure Functions locally for example. So the support for this architecture, still isn't 100% there. Was a little curious, as Azure is Microsoft.

Fast delivery of a very capable computer
I was very happy with the quick ressponse on ordering and delivering the laptop. I needed a quick replacement for similar surface laptop that I accidently destroyed. The computer has functioned flawlesly and was exactly as described. The only buyer caution I would recommend would be to very carefully read everything in the description. I thought I was buying a brand new computer but upon receipt I discovered the computer was a factory refurbished computer. In the end it has not made any difference, since the computer out of the box was flawless and has functioned the same as a factory new computer. I was happly with the price considering I upgraded to 32 mb of ram and 1 TB ssd. These two features add to the overall cost but since I was replacing a computer I thought that expecially the extra ram will insure the computer should be fast and responsive for quite a long period. I will be happly when microsoft introduces new 15inch surface laptops to see what new features wiill be coming out. Overall I am very happy with the purchase considering I needed a replacement computer ASAP.

Amazing at everything!!! …Except Gaming
Best laptop for office work and software tasks I’ve ever owned. However. If you’re thinking of buying this for gaming… don’t. As impressive as this laptop is, it is NOT gaming compatible. (Totally not saying this because I tried it out 👀)
