Very pleased with this inverter
Very pleased with this inverter. I liked the fact that this inverter had two displays for output and input voltages. I had no issues installing the inverter and running different types of equipment like lights, heaters and a 1/3hp motor. When testing the inverter I used an 800W heater with no problems, the inverter was connected to a small car battery. (details: output 120vac @ 6.6amps; Input 12.2vdc @ 78amps). My purpose for this inverter was to use it on a Sump Pump Battery back-up system I designed for my dad, the sump pump is a 1/3hp ac motor, fairly new motor so it was somewhat efficient only about 500W but because of the startup current I used a 1500W inverter just to insure it would start, anyway the inverter runs the pump just fine and my dad is thrilled. Side note: One time I accidently overloaded the inverter during testing and the inverter safely shut down, I was glad it was design so well.

No low battery cutoff. 12 watt idle draw. Clean power.
Unit does give pure sine wave from what I can tell. And I haven't put enough of a load on it to drop voltage. But it does not have a low battery cutoff. I had to wire it through a solar charger to keep from ruining my battery and was able to read a 12 watt draw with no load from the 120v side. But for the money it is the largest sine wave inverter. And it does power what I need it to.

Using monthly
Works great but wish I'd have bought bigger. Maybe a 2500 watt

Works great
Using it camping to power a CPAP breathing machine, from a car battery. Works for 3 nights. The 9volt low battery alarm is annoying, and loud a d shuts off the power but not the alarm. Helpful if you are using your vehicles battery, but not helpful using a stand alone battery camping. I was able to use a small electric heater, but that thing uses up too much power. Nice digital display for voltage of battery and electricity.

Failure to run consistently - faulting
I purchased this 1500w to use in conjunction with my portable solar set up in my RV while boondocking. 1st time taking it out, it continued to 'fault' even under light load. Since this was my first time taking my RV out for the summer here in CO, I assumed it was weak batteries and went ahead and replaced them, as they were 3 years old. I just took my camper out (post rotator cuff surgery) for the 2nd time this year just last week and even with new batteries, it continues to 'fault' just running a stand up fan. Its beyond my return policy timeline...so now im stuck. Based on a majority of the feedback, Im sure its a fluke, but my experience has not been positive.

Good Product & Amazing Customer Service
I purchased the 1500W, which i've installed on my Sail boat, & it has been great! Easy enough to install, also. I highly recommend the product. Amazing Customer Service: I bought the inverter through another Amazon vendor, & it arrived without the manual. I called Cantonape customer service directly, because I did not realize I had bought it through another source. They quickly assisted me, even knowing that I had not purchased it directly through them, by sending the manual via email, AND sending me a complimentary 150AMP Breaker for my inconvenience! ABOVE & BEYOND :-)
