Works fine if you build a jig to slide it evenly across the face of your grinding wheel
I don't know how anyone would use this without building a jig to slide it evenly across the face of your grinding wheel. There are videos on YouTube about making such a jig, but the one I saw involved a milling machine! I basically drilled a 1/2" hole thru a piece of scrap wood, and affixed another piece of wood underneath to slide across the tool rest. Of course, this requires that your tool rest has a straight edge against which the jig can accurately slide. The diamond point itself worked very well. It cut (dressed) the grinding wheel quickly and cleanly. Just don't slip, or you'll instantly gouge your grinding wheel and possibly damage the diamond point.
