Perfect Grips
Recently bought a trek marlin 5 and found the grips to be very uncomfortable and make my hands ache. These grips are fantastic and my hands feel so much better, they are much more comfortable. These grips look great and were easy to fit and are a very very reasonable price for such a good product. It would have been nice if there was more colour options because I wanted black grips with red rings so hopefully the sellers will make it possible to choose ring colour in the future. I chose the bigger grips hoping they would be more comfy even though my hands are not that big for a man, and i'm glad I did because they feel fine and i was worried they might be too big but they're not, they feel great.

Perfect - properly thick grip
You can see in the photo that the monarch grips (right) are substantially thicker. If you have large hands like me then you'll really appreciate these, they feel perfect in the grip. I also appreciate that the detailing on the grip including the thins is strong and not overly flexible and gives much more reassurance when gripped. I highly recommend these and would definitely buy again - they're currently my go-to choice/favourites.

good fit on the bars
They fit well on the bars and don't move around.. only problem in hot weather is they make my palms sweat a bit.. not sure if it's the rubber or pattern or just me but other than that they're solid ..

Both good but I’d go with knurl
I’ve had one set of both knurl and mushroom both have their pros and cons Knurl: Is really good for grip and just hanging on when it gets rough i also found my manuals and jumps have gotten better possibly just because I got them later than mushroom but I do find you get a bit more fatigue than with the mushrooms but it’s fairly small amount Mushroom: Very comfy for climbs and just gripping for a while but I did notice just a small bit of lag for inputs like braking since the grips have a bit to much give to them once they’re broken in so if you are braking a lot you will need to pull tighter on the levers again like the mushrooms fatigue very small amount honestly I’d compare the amount to just slightly more flexible spokes the only other complaint for mushrooms is as you can see in the photo they wear down dramatically both on the “contact area” and on the bar end (after only 2 months) compared to knurl which is why I ended up getting a set of knurl second time around Having ridden both I’d definitely pick knurl for more intense stuff like enduro but for lighter riding like XC or calmer trail riding I’d go with the mushroom
