Great product. Well made. My son did the installation of the decking, his knees are much younger than mine. I helped by pulling boards straight as necessary. Very easy installation. Obviously, doing it yourself is much cheaper. With this tool we got a great result and saved lots of money. 300 sq ft deck.

I'm using mine for the thicker menard 5/4 boards. Works awesome. There's no concern removing a board later or the screws. They're still accessible. You can even back them out and re-fasten without the tool if you need to make adjustments. Just like a regular screw. The tool came with a set of spacers installed along with a thinner set. I took took them off and just used the tool for a narrow gap.

Good tool. Just used it to replace 24 - 16’ long deck boards. Few observations: 1. You cant use it near the house or on steps. The angle + length of the bit + length of the driver prevents it. Just shot the screws top down in this case. 2. It’s still possible to have the tool at an angle across the board and wind up with the screws offset. 3. The spacer wedge needs to be more wedge shaped, narrow with a taper to the full spacing thickness. They tried a bit, but you will crush the deck boards before you are able to push the spacer in. Ended up using a pry bar a lot (home depot deck boards suck). I will use it again in 15 years… or do

I used a 2x4 then 2x6 pattern on my deck. This was the only tool I could find for that. It is really well made. Screws are a little spendy and you can't get them anywhere else easily I could find. But they work great!

End results look great. Easy to maintain a consistent gap across a 20ft composite deck with this tool. Much more secure and hidden vs the more expensive brackets. Camo brand screws work just fine, but make sure you still use the GRK driver.

Great tool Went and bought a second one to make the job easier

Using this to install stainless steel hidden fasteners on our new deck. We are using 5-3/4 in deck boards. The tool is easily adjustable for different deck board widths. For spacing, we are using 1/8 in, the minimum. Larger spacing can be achieved by adding the included spacers. Spacers and tool included along with one custom T15 screw driving bit.
