Works Hard, Stays Cool (Mostly): A Sturdy Performer for Big Transfers
We gave this UGREEN hub a serious workout, using it to transfer over 100GB of data from an older HP laptop to our new system via a 2TB USB-C flash drive. Performance was consistently stable, fast, and surprisingly smooth — with no disconnects or hiccups, even during extended high-load use. ✅ What stood out: Solid aluminum housing: Feels premium, not plastic-y. Also serves a purpose — it helps dissipate heat, which is important because this thing does warm up under stress. Braided USB-C cable + metal plug housing: These are the kind of build details we appreciate. The thick cable resists wear and tangles, while the metal connector adds confidence when plugging in and out. 10Gbps USB-C ports: They delivered as advertised. Speeds were snappy, even with large files. Extra rear USB-C (power input): Smart inclusion for those planning to hook up external hard drives or other bus-powered gear. We didn't need it, but it’s a nice safeguard if you're running more power-hungry setups. Ethernet port: Haven’t tested it yet, but always glad to have it onboard for wired reliability. ⚠️ Heads-up: The unit got warm — borderline hot — during large transfers. This seems normal for aluminum-bodied, high-speed hubs without active cooling, but it’s worth noting if you plan to leave it in use all day. Bottom line: It’s compact, versatile, and well-built. UGREEN continues to deliver dependable gear at reasonable prices — this is a solid tool for data transfers, productivity, or travel kits.

Works Well, But No Port For SD Card
Modern laptops seem to only have USB-C ports. If you want any other kind of ports, you need a hub, such as this UGreen one. I had a hub on my laptop to connect to Ethernet - but that hub failed. I ordered this one and it worked fine on Etherent. It also provides two USB-A ports and two USB-C ports. I would have appreciated a port for an SD card but I don't need that very often and I have other hubs that I can use. One thing that might sound unusual is that the cord on this unit is a bit too long. I'd prefer a bit shorter cord. All-in-all, it works well.

Great Speed
Works perfectly! Easy to setup, reliable connection, and great speed stability. It instantly improved my internet performance compared to wifi, especially for video calls and streaming. Compact, durable, and definitely worth the purchase for anyone needing a fast, wired connection.

Nice long cable but no USB-C Video
Although I do love the long cable that comes attached to the hub, the fact that video does not get passed through the USB-C port makes this unit useless for my needs. I saw it says no video port (HDMI) but it dodn't say no video pass through via USB-C. So if you're looking for a hub that allows for USB-C Video, then skip this hub.

Great Value
Works great with laptop without a network port. USB ports work great. Perfect length and size for portability.

Avoid This One and Research Other Options - USB Failure
So disappointing! Initially, worked OK. Contact points for USB were rough, but hub allowed me quite a bit of utility with Ethernet, 2 USB and a couple of USB-C (though I really need even more than two USB ports). Flash forward, less than six months and one of USB ports already not working and the other one is iffy. Defeats the whole point. It was not super cheap, but now I have to start over with the research. I would avoid this item.
