Works as it should. Easy to user

It has a color screen, easy to read and use. It does read and erase codes, IM ready, evap solenoid test which is 1/2 the reason I bought it. O2 sensor which I didn't try. Some live Data. It's well worth the money to have one one hand.

So I was consistently getting engine error codes on my car - my in dash was stating that it was an emissions issue. I had trouble diagnosing what the problem is with the description I got from my car's dash and although Autozone was able to read the code, the solution they provided me was to do a full emissions system smoke test at a mechanic, which can be pretty pricey and time consuming. I knew it could not be a huge issue - either my gas cap was causing problems, or a sensor was off. Got this and scanned my car. Easy to use - just plug into the sensor plug under your steering column and turn the car on, and it will read and provide the code. It gives a little description, but googling the code with your car model will provide more information. What I found was that either my PCV valve or vapor canister purge valve went bad. Found that It was time for me to replace the PCV valve anyways based on mileage, and decided to replace the purge valve at the same time. Ordered the parts, installed easy (all you need is a ratchet with the right socket size). Replace the parts, reset the code, and it's been 2 months now without a new warning popping up. As a bonus, my car idles a lot better now. I ended spending around 85ish dollars on parts, and I know it would be exponentially more expensive if I had it done at a shop. Anyways yeah! This is a fantastic product with a tiny bit of know how and little bit of internet investigation. I had no compatibility issues with my 2016 Civic, it feels well built, and now my engine light is gone. I'm definitely going to be using it in the future to diagnose any potential issues I might have.

The item has solved a lot of my auto problems. Reasonably priced and easy to use.

I want to give this more stars but it didn't come with information about the products compatibility. Not sure if it's even reading my car to be honest. Didn't pick up the codes that were pending or the active codes that the mechanic and dealership could see. Alot of the results were unavailable. It gives basic info but code reader doesn't work apparently, and can't check if it's my car or the device compatibility.

Low cost.. plugs right in and the screen / interface are all that's needed. No App, no registration, just plug and read. Cleared codes on our 07 Chevy. The voltage reader is a nice touch. Recommended.
