I had been managing my hot tub myself checking all of the chemical weights. After draining my hot tub I decided to try a different approach. I placed this in and did not have any issues. We have continued to use it since while replacing the yellow one. My husband seems to like this better than the other method of balancing all of the chemicals. New filter, new water, new chemical method. No issues since. The smell is normal. Chemical smells of pool products. As far as cost, I think the longevity of the minerals makes it worth it. The bromine went a little faster than I expected. Time is money and the product seems worth it when I have a working hot tub now with less thought required.

my tub came with an in-line chemical system but the plastic holder for the silver and bromine cartridges disintegrated over the course of ten years. This floater is an excellent replacement.

I can always stress the frog to provide a clean chlorine, free, smell free, hot tub that my entire family can enjoy gets the water clear. It’s easy to open as easy to follow the directions.

I found the product to work is advertised. It just did not last very long. It was expensive and I wound up buying basic bromide tablets for about 1/10 of the price and they work just as well and they’re much easier. I would highly suggest the bromine tablets in a bucket over these frog replacements. They’re just too expensive.

I'd been having hella problems with my Frog canister chlorine dispensers. it seemed like no matter how low set, the chlorine would be gone in a matter of days, and the water would go cloudy instantly. I decided to try the switch to bromine and it's been a huge improvement. The bromine cartridge lasts as long as it's supposed to, and can be refilled with inexpensive pellets if you don't want the expense of buying disposable cartridges.
