I really love this mannequin head as I am currently learning how to scalp braid, and do feed in braids. The hair in the picture looks like yaki but it's actually far slicker than it appears. That being said, I can still get it to hold a braid really well. It doesn't tangle easily at all and the distribution of follicles is really nice. The one downside is that it sheds considerably. I have to sweep the hair up off of the floor after use every single time even if I don't comb it. The hair on the head is thick so you don't miss the strands that fall out but they can be slightly annoying to clean up. This is more like 4.5 stars, the -.5 is just for the shedding but everything else is perfect. I like the clip it comes with a lot but depending on what you're doing you can definitely still work with it without the clip. Overall I recommend it!

Its good i like the product, but if you comb it slightly hard hair will shed off of the mannequin but its very good for practicing parting, braids, heat styles, stuff like that. the hair length is a perfect length to do many styles and it is soft and smooth, i it is very textured and thick and not thin or silky straight. put it away when youre done or you WILL jump seeing it in the corner of your eye

1) I thought it might have lice eggs in it from other reviews but nah she clean 2) the box comes with a different mannequin on it but I got the wrong me I order 3) I didn’t smell nothing stink it just smell herby I guess 4) reacts really good to heat from a distance. I blowed dried it with a distance away from it and a comb. It air drys really easy tho 5)okay to wash and comb through without it getting matted. It was really easy to comb through in every stage 6)mine came with the stand so yay . I heard some people didn’t get theirs, so 50% u might get your ? 7)Surprisely didn’t shed at all for blow drying process or even weaving my hands through it, but does shed some when washing. When I picked it up it wasn’t as much as I thought. It also sheds way less than my real hair so I appreciated. 8) it original came laid and straight, but when I blow dried it it ended up more of a blown out puffy and straight combination. It looked like my real hair when I blow dried it so I appreciated this 9) I used a curling iron to test the comments that u couldn’t use heat and I found it does okay with heat. It didn’t give me a voluminous curl thick and bouncy, more like thin curl. It’s nkt my cup of tea so I comb it out. I wouldn’t recommend getting this for heat hairstyles I guess if your not looking for that outcome. 10) I also don’t know if it’s real hair or not I’m not knowledgeable on those things sadly. However I know the whole hair felt real and didn’t mat under water, the comb, or the blow dryer. I don’t know if it’s all real hair but I do know that it functions pretty well like it so it might be 100% depending on the one you get Overall I recommend this for braiding. I hope this helped

I ordered the 10" Afro Head and I am very happy... I wanted to practice sister locs and I love this Mannequin I looks exactly like the picture, I was easy to detangle I wet the hair with water and use a paddle brush. There was light shedding which is normal.. I put twist in after each section of brushing the hair

The mannequin doll is considered Afro hair, but when you wet is turns into 2c. On top of that it sheds a lot when dry and it was given to me tangle. It feels as though they are trying to imply that Afro hair is “nappy” because they have me a doll with tangled hair that was really 2c. The dolls hair length probably isn’t the same because of the excessive shedding and it’s kind of when I got it. I do like the doll, but I expected more.
