SPARKWHIZ Weld-On 5/8" Spring Latch Assembly with Plain Tube, Trailer Gate Latch, Pack of 2

Ended up going a different route with my gate as I couldn’t make these work the way I wanted them too. I will say if you mount these directly onto something the handle could get in the way and you almost need to weld a spacer in between them. Also the little black cotter pin when you pull the pin in and out will hit whatever it’s welded too so I just grinder them down flush and it worked fine. Seem to be good quality and welded nice just went a different route.

Great latch for my smaller atv trailer, simple to weld on. Spring is strong so my son has to pull pretty strongly to get them to unlatch. They snap in place strong and dont rattle or have a ton of play in the mechanism. Definitely strong and beef enough that makes me trust them

Replaced the original probably 10-year-old ones on my tractor supply 5 x 8 utility trailer after one broke. FYI these are weld on. They are actually sturdier than the originals so they work better. Highly recommended!

They work fine on my tilt utility trailer. They are strong, but a little bit difficult to pull and latch in the open position. Part of that problem is due to where I had to position them and part of it is because the coil springs are slightly stiffer than necessary. I got tired of replacing lock pins and these have eliminated that possibility. All in all I would buy them again and recommend them. The are built well.
