Great mower, good price, good battery
Great mower at a great price. I live on 5.75 acres but only about 1.5 to 2 acres is grass and weeds, paired with my skil weed whacker this makes it a lot easier to cut the grass down. Mower can go about knee high weeds but gets bogged down on the bigger stuff. Can't afford a ride on mower yet so this will do. Easy set up, easy use and the 6ah battery lasts a long time. I have 4 2.5ah batteries with the rest of my skil equipment so I should be able to mow all day. It works best on tall weeds on the highest setting. Blades are cheap and carried at my local ace hardware. The 6ah batteries sell for $200 by themselves and this mower is only $249.99 so I feel like I got it for 50 bucks! Good deal

Smooth & easy mowing on regular density lawn.
What a great little mower. First mowing this spring & it did a nice job. In places where the grass was taller & thicker it shut down, but easily restarted. Once I got through the thick grass it mowed the rest of the lawn beautifully. I really like the adjustable speed. The grass bag is easily attached & the spring door closes firmly with no gaps. Very nice mower. Perfect for regular height lawns. I would purchase again. 🕊️🙋jlp

Push Button - Battery Operated Mower ✅
I love this mower❣️The motor is so quiet. I have only had it for one summer season. So, I have not had to replace or sharpen the blade yet. I have both the push mower and the self propelled mower. I cut 2 different yards for tenants and keep a mower at each house. The push mower is lightweight and is a little smaller than its counterpart, the self propelled one. It easy to push and maneuver. I could have just bought 2 of the push mowers, but I bought the self propelled one first and didn’t know how easy the push mower would be for me to push. I’m an older, 5 ft. 7 in. tall woman. I can fold the handle, and with a little effort, lift it, and put it in the trunk of my SUV. ✅ The mowers cut well. They both have several cutting heights and the lever is easy to get to and press, when adjusting the height. I love that you can start them both with the push of a button and that they run with a battery. 😁 The battery has indicator lights when charging. It takes about an hour and forty five minutes to charge and make a low humming sound while it’s charging. The charge lasts more than the hour that it takes me to cut my yard. I recommend buying an extra battery to have on hand when mowing larger yards. The battery is very simple to slide and insert into and remove from the top of the mower. With the handle folded, you can stand the mower up for storage.

Excellent mower!
Silent, very easy to operate, light and the battery performs very well. When I was ordering, I was concern about not be self-propelled, but after use it, I confirm I don't need self-propelled at all! The battery runs well and enough to mow around 4000 sqf with only 1 charge and remain a little bit yet.

Great mower!
I have mowed with this twice. Super light, powerful, easy to use! I can easily lift by the liftbar with one hand, great to be able to shut off blade and still use self propel feature to get back to shed. Love infinitely adjustable self propel speed knob. Love ability to raise and lower with a single lever. Tilting to hose under deck is great as it will sit suspended on its nose with the battery in place. Folds very small for storage... Well designed, solid, zero regrets. Have yet to run battery down, but our yard is tiny, so I am only going 20 minutes.

I love this mower so much. Powerful, Effortless, Quiet, Fierce Battery, and Fun
I ordered the SKIL PWR CORE 40 Brushless 40V 20" Self-Propelled Mower Kit Including 6.0Ah Battery and Auto PWR JUMP Charger-SM4910C-11. This is an early review since I've only been mowing for 7 months, and I'll come back and update as time goes on, but I love this mower. I was researching for several weeks trying to find the perfect fit, and I wanted this one out of everything I found online, but because of the negative reviews about the battery, I knew I couldn't do it. Well, one day I just was reading up on it again because I just wanted this exact mower as I was obsessed, and then I finally read why the reviews were so poor on this because it was a faulty battery and the battery was recalled in December 2024. I was so happy since I knew the problem was most likely fixed so I ordered her, and I LOVE her so much. If you bought one before that month you'll want to look into it I'm a small lady, and the assembly was quite effortless. The manual was easy to read and explain. I actually put it together in my living room simply because I could and why not? You just need to put the bag together attaching the sides to the mesh bag. If you are going to use the bag you need to remove the main plastic piece inside which is what I was initially doing in spring having a mess due to not being physically able to do my last mow in fall so my grass was too long all winter until now. I charged the battery up fully as it only comes partially charged. The charger and battery are both quite impressive and big. The charger sounds like a motor running at first so it's not completely silent. There are lights that show you when it's done. I'm definitely going to be careful about where I store the battery avoiding extreme heat and cold since a spare is quite spendy. It goes into the unit effortlessly under its trap door which is quite neat. It's incredibly easy to adjust the height, and easier than other mowers I've had. The unit in general is much lighter than my old gas mower which this is replacing. There's a self-propelled option which is the main feature I needed when searching for mowers since I am healing from an arm/shoulder problem and have other physical restrictions. Starting- when I first tried to start this up I couldn't get it going, and I couldn't figure out what I was doing wrong and then after looking at the directions many times I realized the handles were not extended. You need to remove the red tabs on each side, pull out the handles all the way towards your body, then lock them back up. After I did that she was ready to go and started fine. To start you just hold your finger over the red button and pull the thin handle then while holding the handle you can let go of the start button. The self-propel feature is easy by just pulling the red handle towards you. There are various speeds from slow to fast that are a simple turn of a dial. Slow is so slow I don't even know why I would use it. Fast is perfect for a fast paced walk. I don't feel like it takes off running either when it's on the fastest setting as it's just perfect without dragging you behind after it starts going. You can use self-propel without the mower actually cutting or running which is really helpful and I do it each mow. As long as the battery is inside, it will obviously work and move for you if you don't feel like pushing it when you are starting or finishing. Also, the instructions clarify this but you want to let go of the self-propel lever a few moments before you finish your row, otherwise it gets locked up and you have to move it back and forth a little bit in order to get it going again. After a little practice I learned when to let go of it to avoid this happening. The mower is much quieter than a gas mower, but I wouldn't say it is quiet. However, it is a little funny that the self-propelled feature seems to be louder than the motor itself, as you can hear it when you are mowing sometimes. It has a winding noise, but it doesn't sound faulty, I just didn't expect to hear it. It's really nice to have something that is a little bit quieter, especially when I am listening to music in my headphones. When I first started using this, as I mentioned I had quite a mess of very long grass in both of my front and backyards. It was also wet outside. I'm in the Pacific Northwest, and I really needed to take my opportunities as they came if the rain stopped. There were some areas where the grass was probably over 8 inches. In general, this did an excellent job cutting really thick and longer grass, but it doesn't really love when it's wet and too long. I was surprised with its abilities when I was initially testing, but I did end up raising the blade in some spots since it couldn't handle really tall and wet grass in certain areas which is reasonable and understandable. Obviously, if you slow this down and move slowly or overlap rows it handles it better. I do not plan on overworking it like I had been doing with my testing, but I just wanted to see what it was capable of and it was quite impressive, similar and very close to what my gas mower would do. In general, this is a very powerful and strong mower. When I'm using the bagger, and I can tell when it's getting close to being full. It's incredibly easy to empty the bag and put back in. My front yard is half moss and half grass, and as mentioned, it was all damp and it did a great job there too as long as I had it set at a realistic cutting length. I had quite a bit of leaves that were left over from fall that this did a good job in pulling up in the bag as well. I even cleaned off some areas of my sidewalk and driveway similar to a leaf blower except it grabbed the debris for me to put in my compost bin. I can also empty the leaves on the lawn and mulch them up if I want to. Strong Battery & Effortless Mowing Experience-I honestly don't know the square footage of both my yards, but it takes me about an hour to do the front and the back. Normally, I could never do two in one day because it's too much for me physically especially when my prior gas mower did not have a self-propel feature. Trying to mow a sunken in mossy/grassy/uneven yard was so painful where I would be dripping sweat with just doing one lawn. I literally can do both of these at once without even breaking a sweat because it does all the work for you with the self-propel feature. And when I'm not using the self-propel at the end of rows and around certain features, it's light enough where it's not a strain. I won't even mention I don't have to go through the barbaric starting of the lawn mower ripping my arms out of the sockets since it's just a push button. One day I did the front and the backyard as well as taking this around on the road, driveway, and sidewalk to grab old leaves and debris, and the battery was still going on its charge even when using the self-propelled feature the whole time. When I just mow one yard, it barely takes any time to recharge as there's so much juice left. Noticed one negative-The one thing it couldn't do was a very short cut on my front lawn that's over half moss. There are 7 cutting lengths. The next notch up from the very bottom was where I finally started to keep it so it was extra short. Prior to that I had it set at one notch above that. I was able to do my backyard at that lower level fine when it wasn't too high when I cut it. When I went to do the front yard I first did one cut at the notch I kept it at since I received this then I went over it a second time at one notch lower like I did the backyard. I got through half of the yard when it just kept dying when I hit the dried out mossy areas. No matter how slow I went or just doing very tiny overlaps it just couldn't handle it. After killing it a bunch of times I had to just give up and put it back up to where I've had it most of the time. It says in the manual the heights are from 1.5"-4". So, Even though I can get the front short, I won't be able to ever get it super short like the back because the moss says no. If that's the only negative, that's still okay with me. I actually had an opportunity to try out another brand battery operated mower for a bit. This is a powerhouse compared to that. This battery and the quality is unmatched. I fully intend to have this working perfectly for years to come, but I will come back and update as time goes on. The warranty puts me at ease especially with such a reputable company as Skil that I remember around the house in the 80's. I've honestly hated mowing the lawn my entire life until now. In fact, I actually look forward to it, because I love this mower so much. I also couldn't even physically mow with all my body restrictions the last several years. With this I only need to be able to physically walk, and it does everything for me, thank you.

Well built Lawnmower
I love this lawnmower! It’s worth the money. Very solid well-built machine. It comes with a strong long lasting battery and charger. I would highly recommend! This lawnmower is easy to clean and store. I was looking for a mower that was easy to set up and easy to store without dismantling multiple parts. Its design ergonomics makes it easy to maneuver its 20inch size. I’m 4’11 with mild arthritis in both hands. I was able mow with no problem. I originally wanted the self propelled version, but it wasn’t available when I needed. I don’t have a hilly yard so this purchase suits me just fine.
