Good educational toy.
This is a nice looking, well made globe. The gimmick with this is that, when you use the pen which comes with it, you can get some facts about different parts of the world. The USA has more information, but, as these things go, its a pretty good way for your children to learn. I like this a lot.

An outstanding toy; my two love it and are learning their geography rapidly.
My two daughters (7 and 6) have been having competitive country finding games. I have had to field questions like "where is Nicaragua?" and they have very rapidly learned what answers like Central America or Western Africa mean. If I had known it would go down so well, I would have bought one before. I would definitely recommend it. The only niggle is that the voice is a bit annoying.

Super globe
My kids have been really enjoying this clever educational toy. It has a lovely globe of the earth. Well and clearly marked. The bonus is that is has a separate pointer, so that it can pose questions and you answer by identifying countries, cities, oceans, continents, etc. You can also use it in free mode for info too. It asks questions and provides info via an voice which is not annoying (which makes a nice change from most speaking toys). The only gripe is it is very USA-focused. So there is a fifth category of US states and cities. The UK and Ireland only marks London, Edinburgh, Dublin and Cork. Poor Cardiff gets overlooked entirely. However it is really good toy and educational aid.

This is a brilliant globe, wonderful for teaching
This is a brilliant way to teach not just kids but adults too, this is a talking globe, it has 5 functions for learning on it with a pen, to find Countries, Oceans Animals Cities and their Capitals, such a brilliant way to learn, even lots of place I didn't know where they were, I wold say this is not just for children but everybody whose interested in Geography, this will help children get on in school and excellent globe for learning all sorts of things. It is quite large but everything is easy to fins on there. It also has maths on here to measure kilometers never seen one like this before, an absolute must for kids learning today. I'm sure I could learn a whole lot more with it too. Absolutely brilliant product So pleased with it. I shall be learning in my 70's how amazing. Quite a high price but for all the things you can learn of there worth every penny.

Big and great quality, though a bit USA focused
This is a great globe - it's bigger than your average globe and feels really well made. It works well as a conventional globe, with plenty of detail. and the smart features are really well executed. Both the discover features, which is a sort of free-play whereby you can touch anywhere on the glove to find out about plants, animals, people and physical geography, is fun and the quiz mode is even better - I ordered this for my 4 and 7 year old but I find myself playing with it a fair bit myself! If I could hold back half a star I would for (a) the globe being two USA centric (there's a whole panel of activity around US states), which makes for an imbalanced view of the world when no other part of the globe goes into federal detail, and because there are one or two stupid errors that could and should have been picked up - you can't 'touch a country in Antarctica' because there aren't any countries in Antarctica and it doesn't belong to any country! Tech point of interest: Most of the technology is in the 'pen' - there isn't any batteries or power in the base or the globe itself. The globe itself and the control panel on the base seem to have some sort of tags within them that the pen recognises.

Okay item
Not sure it’s worth £100 but it’s a good little gadget quite big too and has a holder for the pen/speaker

A fun way to get a visual picture of the world, far better than 2D maps or google earth!
As an adult with poor knowledge of the world I found the globe and the questions very helpful.I Think all Primary classrooms would benefit from this globe .It is good fun.a

If you are looking for a way for your kids to learn more about the world, then this is the toy to get. My kids have been asking for a globe since we have been talking about where all of our family lives. We have a USA map from Learning Resources, but they wanted to see the whole world. This talking globe was a perfect way for me to get a globe, but also have something informative for them to learn. I ordered this toy from Amazon and the box was huge! I was expecting a problem in the packaging, but the globe was intact and it actually took me some time to get it out of the box. So, I am glad that for the price, the globe came safely in the package. There was nothing to assemble except to add the batteries. That’s my kind of toy! I couldn’t get the batteries in fast enough. The kids wanted to play with it right away. I let them explore while I read the instruction manual to see what we could do with this globe. Our favorite feature is all of the animals you can learn from each country. The kids figured that out on their own while I was reading the manual. All I hear now is “Mom.. did you know “this animal” lives in “this country”? And then they share the fact that they learned. I learned that reindeers are real and live in Russia!! That’s my daughter’s favorite fact. Every day, I am learning about more and more animals. Another really cool fun fact that the kids can do is to measure the distance between cities. The pen tells you how many miles or kilometers it is from city to city. It refers to different objects, like how many Eiffel Towers you lay between the two cities. The kids love that more than the mileage. They just keep pressing two different cities and wait to hear the objects and how many it takes to fill that distance in. The one feature we probably will need to explore more is the USA option. You can learn about cities and capitals just in the United States. The kids are more excited about learning about the different countries and continents, that the
