Doesnt get any better
I have a Rheem raka-048jaz which stopped working recently. I shut off power to the unit and opened the panel and saw the wires to the capacitor were melted at the connection terminals. As one of the ground wires was also off the contactor, I suspected a short had occurred as based upon an initial visual inspection there did not appear to be any damage to the capacitor. I repaired the damage to the wires and reattached the ground to the contactor and started the unit. All appeared well initially, however I soon noticed a buzzing sound coming from the unit and that the fan was not running. Grabbed a yardstick and gave the fan a gentle push in the direction it would normally rotate to test the fan motor. Fan rotated easily and began to run. Shut the power off and took a closer look at the capacitor. The unit still had its original Aeromet II plastic enclosed capacitor in place. Upon closer inspection the old capacitor had melted under the "C" terminal. The damage was barely noticeable unless looking at it close up. Ordered this as a replacement from TEMCo on a Friday and had it in my hands by Tues with regular shipping. Installed easily in minutes. We're back in cold air. I probably saved $200 bucks off a service call. Good product, great price and quick delivery. It doesnt get any better. Thanks TEMCo. You are now my first stop should I need anything like this in the future.

Best value, quality capacitor around!!
A/C capacitor wasn’t working, and needed a well rated and comparable replacement with a fair price and quick shipping. I looked at the reviews of several comparably priced models with the right power output, and was impressed with the number of solid reviews this one had compared to others. Nice quality product. Installation was simple, and was at least $5 cheaper than similar models w/same output specs. Works great, and at such a reasonable price I was able to buy another for back-up when needed, for less than 1/2 the price of the model and brand recommended by the A/C manufacturer! Very, very pleased with the value, price, and availability of this capacitor!! It also has the same 5yr warranty as the more expensive capacitor the A/C brand suggests!

Great to keep on hand, save hundreds
This is the capacitor size my HVAC unit uses, and keeping these on hand has saved me a boatload plus less downtime. I have a very old R12 system that probably is near the the of it's life, but until then it's been using about one capacitor per summer season. If you're a homeowner who is even the slightest but handy, always keep one of these on hand for when you're HVAC goes down. I know local companies that charge over fire hundred just to replace a cap, and you can do it yourself in ten minutes with basic tools.

Works great so far, but need more time to tell if good
I bought this 2 pack for my home A/C. Current capacitor (an Amrad unit) is ~ 10 years old and still working, but figured it may be getting tired, so wanted to have a spare just in case. Original capacitor lasted about 10 years, so figured I don't want to wait till it goes out and be without A/C for 2 days like last time. Well, in this case, these 2 are half the price of a single Amrad capacitor, so even if they last 1/2 the time, I still will come out ahead cost wise. It only takes 10 minutes to change it, so no big deal. If it last less than 5 years (which would be summer 2027), I will post up here. I swapped out the working Amrad (which aside from a little rust on the top, looked just fine, no bulging top or anything) for one of these and noticed that the unit sounds "better" when starting, and I had occasional dimming of lights with the old one, but have not noticed that with this new capacitor (but has only been 3-4 days). I am still not positive where these are made, nothing on the box or unit say, and have heard both made in US and made in China.

Keep cooled
I purchased the capacitor before because I had one go out in my air conditioner after two years in a new home. The cooling came back as soon as it was installed no noise at all very easy installation just mark the wires are just take a photo no issues with the size installed with no issues.like I said it started running with no issues.

Excellent quality AC dual run capacitor for the money
I have ordered two of these now. The first one was ordered 3 years ago and kept climate controlled on standby for when my current capacitor failed. That happened almost two months ago. It has been installed and is working well. Paying less than $15 for this capacitor instead of having to pay the AC guy $125 total for the part and installation is awesome. TEMCo ships quickly. I had the new capacitor within 3 days. Even then, you should consider keeping an extra on hand if you swap it out yourself. That way, you can get your AC working again in minutes. Here in the Deep South, the humidity and heat cause these capacitors to wear out more quickly. Keeping an extra on hand is a smart move if you are comfortable with tools and swap it out yourself. That way, you can get your AC working again in minutes. Youtube has videos on how to do this. I am definitely buying all my future AC capacitors from TEMCo. Excellent company to do business with!

Seems like a good product & value!
Since I've learned how easy it is to replace an AC capacitor (did one with a little YouTube help in about 20 mins) - esp as this is the most common component to fail on a heat pump HVAC unit - I like to keep a spare. If the AC goes out at 9 PM on a Sun, I have a good shot at getting it back up & running, inexpensively & quickly.

AMANA Heat pump stopped working during heat spell. Fan would go on but not the compressor and showed a six blinking light flashing trouble code. You Tube videos suggested the capacitor went bad so rolled the dice and ordered this one. Worked great and saved me the call out. Only 4 wires to swap over so good and easy.

Cap arrived within 1 day. Popped it in and it worked! Just don’t forget to pull the power and let the original rest for 20-30 minutes before starting! Caps can store a lot of power.
