My spine and brain surgeon recommend this brand to me. I was placed on #4 4000iu daily as my D level was too low for spinal surgery, so low that it took a year before it actually showed max (accepted) elevation. This is a very good product and brand in my opinion and has worked for the 6 yrs and four spine surgeries. ********************************* I am not a doctor or surgeon, what is stated below is from experience. Side note: If you find yourself needing Vitamin D for a spine surgery, and you have the option of getting a disc implant instead of a fusion, get a disc implant!!! My first surgery was an implant (to the wrong disc) and I didnt even know it was done except for the incision area. Do not get a fusion (implant was fused over later) unless you'll die or be totally disabled if you don't. Ask EVERY question imaginable and educate yourself in your MRI results "words, meanings, ect". L4/L5/S1 Fusions can affect your SI Joints, which cause them to work more than usual and can be very painful and cause spasms, then generates to your hips causing pain. There is A LOT of online information on failed fused spine surgeries and what medical ailments and even disability that it causes. Please read up what you can for questions before surgery. Im not a doctor or surgeon, but just someone that went through Pain Management with injections and 4 spine surgeries the first 6 yrs, but since 2011 that has read up on a lot of medical studies and forums during and after that time) Surgeons will say it is a successful surgery even if it was a failed surgery, meaning the procedure went well and you didn't die from it. I have ordered these before with no problem. This time I got them and every single pill is stuck together, no way to get even one out of the bottle. I tried to start a return but it is rejected as unable to be returned. I sent a message at the Carlson web page and got no response. I do have a theory that tariffs are cutting in so now we are getting second hand ones that have been sitting on a docker somewhere getting hot and sticking together. Either way, I guess I won't be buying these anymore, I think I can find a bulk supplements version that has similar qualities. ================== update, I contacted Carlson labs from their webpage and was able to get a replacement. Hopefully it doesn't happen again in the future.

I wanted the finest quality Vitamin D3 fish oil. What attracted me to Carlson is the rigorous quality control processing that Carlson adheres to, so I decided to try it. The small round capsules are easy to swallow and tasteless. I pierced a capsule out of curiosity and found the oil to be clear and light-medium in viscosity. There is no fishy aftertaste. I love the quality of this oil! I gave this product 5 stars because it deserves it. My search for the best Vitamin D3 oil ends with Carlson. I will be a loyal customer of this brand.
