Nice and simple MP3 player!
I've been an MP3 player user for many years and finding a new one that meets my requirements feels harder as time goes on. This one, though, is very close to meeting those requirements for me. I prefer having a clip on it so I don't have to worry about rummaging my pocket for it and have it in a more convenient place, Bluetooth connectivity means I don't have to worry about my headphone wires getting tangled/messed up by keeping the device in my pocket and it plays MP3 songs wonderfully well (all my songs are automatically sorted in alphabetical order, which I'm more used to). I HAD to get the purple one because it's my favourite colour and it's a lovely shade, its screen is nice and bright and I appreciate how the Bluetooth doesn't need reconnecting after a shut-down. My ONLY gripe with it so far is that there's no option to completely turn off the automatic shut-off. I tend to leave my music on pause for a while every now and then and I sometimes lose track of how long it's been paused for, so I was startled when it suddenly turned itself off after 30 minutes, which is the longest time it can go without shutting down automatically. It's easy to jump back into it if it does shut down automatically, but I'd rather have the option to turn it off entirely, and because it doesn't, I'd honestly rate this product 4.5 stars out of 5. All in all, I do love this little device and I'm glad I took the plunge; it's actually really good value for money, especially with the added bells and whistles that it comes with (which I don't plan to use, but that's just me), but it's still a good quality product, minus my automatic shut-off nitpick.

OK but needs product development
It is cheap and for the money not so bad. It is similar to the Sansa Clip I had. It takes a 256gb card and I have some 4,000 songs on it. However it stubbornly refuses to find all the music on the sd card. Songs that are showing in the Folders section do not appear in the All Songs of the Music section. I have checked the mp3 tags and they are there. I have reformatted the sd card, deleted the player's database but to no avail. Customer support tried to help but clearly didn't understand the problem. They didn't seem to know what mp3 tags were which was strange. UPDATE: After some investigation it appears the problem was due to the multiple file types (mp3, flac, ogg) that I had. The player picks up the data tags for the mp3 files. Avoiding the other file types helps. Added another star to my initial review. Hope this helps.

Would 100% Recommend
This thing is class. I have Apple music and YouTube music and Spotify and both a a iPhone Pro and a flagship Android for work, but the issue I had with them is that pretty much all headphones now have the ability to easily call someone by mistake with a single butten press or earbud press. I like to listen to tracks going to sleep, and on a couple of occasions mistakenly called people at like 3am when I rolled over and and my earbud pressed againt the pillow - not ideal if it's your boss or work colleague! So I figured a more basic listening device was needed that just played music and couldn't activate random features on my phone. Was initially looking at high-end devices as that is what I usually go for, like the new Sony Walkman etc. which are like a few hundred quid. But decided to see what was about at the lower end that did the minimum that I needed, as for the sake of £25 it doesn't really matter if it doesn't work, but if it does than happy days, so worth a try. I've been really impressed by this little player, the in-ear haedphones that come with is are 100% and are the ones I use as standard, although I did also try my bluetooth earbuds with it and it connects straight away - the bluetooth on this thing actually connects far faster than either my iPhone 16 Pro or my Samsung s22 Ultra. It comes with a little 64gig memory card which is loads for mp3s and has physical buttons which all work easily, although are a bit small - I'm 6 foot and have big enough hands, but its still easy enough to use. Super light, has a wee clip for sticking onto your shirt or pocket or whatever and the sound quality is 100%. I'm not an audiofile or anything, but it's dead on for me, and I'm usually listening to music on a set of Yamaha reference monitors in my studio, so I do enjoy good sound. It also has a few extra features that I like, as long as the wired headphones are plugged in, it has an fm radio and also a voice recorder which is surprisingly clear - I'd say it is at least as good, if not better than the voice recorder on either my iPhone or Samsung. Also has a pedometer which is unusual and I havn't bothered using, but it's on there if you want it. I'm on a Mac and it just shows up as an external drive when you plug it in, so just add your mp3s as folders i.e. keep each album or playlist you want in a separate folder when saving to the mp3 player drive, and then you can play the folders on the player, all pretty easy. Its very light weight, seems decently built for the price. I've had it about 3 weeks now, I'd say as long as you don't do anything stupid it should last forever, but its unlikley to survive one of your kids walking on it or throwing it out of the car window, I'd also say it's unlikly to be very waterproof, so I wouldn't have it clipped onto a t-shirt and go running in the rain, but if its in your pocket it should be fine and in fact would be an excellent device for running becuase it is so light. Very impressed by this little player for the price, which you can tell from the long review, and would 100% recommend. Only reason not to get it, is if you want streaming or internet access etc. but in that case you might as well just use your phone.

Very nice product, does what I want and was very reasonable price.
Very pleased with this item after 4 weeks use. All positives so far. The battery life and data transfer speed are both much better. Charging time seems improved as well. I haven't done measurements but definitely improved and noticeably so. It doesn't have internal memory, just the 64GB card it comes with (but this is 8 times the basic capacity the ones above). The card itself seemed to have PG logo on it and unable to find technical details on it. The connector is a USB C so can use same charging/data cable as my Samsung phone. Sound quality, probably about the same, though I mainly use device for audio books and the like. HiFi aficionado might have more to say. The supplied ear pieces are OK, but I prefer to use over ear, noise cancelling headphones for comfort over long periods (you don't have to have the volume turned up so much, and keeps the ears warmer!). The design of the buttons and the interface means less likely to accidentally change track or similar. Like the clock facility, haven't tried most of the other features but they look identical to the earlier devices. The only other comment I have is that the bluetooth is automatically enabled when you power up. This doesn't seem to have an adverse effect on battery life, however, and I am sure a lot of people will find this a beneficial feature . It might even encourage me to start using bluetooth more often.

It is small and simple to use. I formatted the card and I spent 3 hours to fill it with almost 3000songs. It does not keep the alphabetical order. It messed everything up. No sense in the way it puts the songs in order. It also takes a lot of time when you turn it on to process the list before starting to play music. I did not try other features such as if it continues from where it was left or if if the volume needs adjustment. For sure there is no way to find the song you are looking for if they are a lot. I wish I had take the review of another person who had written all these into account.
