I have struggled for many years with impacted cerumen in both ears. I usually end up spending hours irritating my ears with a 10 cc syringe and a 16 gauge angiocatheter while in front of the bathroom sink. I would end up with water everywhere and only after repeatedly flushing my ear canal for what seemed like a hundred times, eventually I would dislodge a huge chunk of impacted cerumen, but oftentimes, I would still have to position two mirrors with a small spotlight and go after it with a small plastic cerumen spoon. Thankfully being an RN I’m well experienced in doing this for patients in the emergency department, but it’s a whole different challenge doing it to yourself. I used this wonderful machine and with only refilling the tank twice I managed to dislodge a huge chunk of impacted cerumen and didn’t need to fish it out as the swirling action of the warm-tepid water flushed it right out of my ear canal and into the collection chamber! I’ve tried some other hand held manual pumping devices in the past, but would just end up reverting back to the old school technique of the syringe and flood the vanity and bathroom floor with water. This is undoubtedly one of the finest self care products I’ve ever used and is a most worthwhile investment in one’s ear health. I will be recommending this product to patients as I see many people who suffer from the same dilemma here in the dry arid desert climate. Spectacular design and it really does work!

Wow, it worked the first time and pretty immediately. I could feel it clearing but also (sorry, stop reading if you find this gross), I could see the large old wax clumps collected in the cup of the handheld part of the device. Some smaller amounts also get sucked in with the dirty water into that side of the tank. It's gross but it's also such a relief as I was dealing with loss of hearing for days while I was hoping for it to dislodge in the shower or tilting my head and the earliest doctor appointment that I could get was another week away. I did soften the wax by putting drops of olive oil and grapeseed oil into my ear for two days beforehand. I only used the first "soft" setting and was glad I didn't even have to go to the higher settings. I boiled my water first and let it cool down in the tank as the idea of introducing bacteria into my ear and getting an infection was scaring me, but it's probably better to use saline? I didn't send the water through the device while it was still super hot as you're not supposed to use heat to clean it. It was easy to use and I like that it sucks up the water in a tidy way rather than collecting it manually in a basin. I paid over $55 CAD plus tax for it but no regrets and it's great that I could get it delivered the next day. I have had ear wax plugging my ears once as a child and a couple of times as an adult and had doctors flush it out, so I am guessing I'll probably need it again in the future, and will use it to prevent this happening again too. Maybe a simple bulb to squirt water in would have done the trick too, but if the cost and space isn't an issue, it's nice and tidy and easy to use so I think it is worth it. I'll note that it comes with a bulb to blow dry your ear after. I would find a little dropper bottle helpful for putting oil or ear cleaning solution n your ear. I couldn't see the marking on the temperature gauge sticker but I didn't use it until the water was a comfortable temperature.

It’s also incredibly satisfying (and a bit gross) to see what collects in the wastewater tank—it’s proof the system is doing its job. Comfort & Safety: Unlike syringes or Q-tips, this doesn’t jam anything deep into your ear canal. The water stream feels more like a controlled rinse than anything invasive. It comes with three different tips, which is great if multiple people in the family want to use it. Battery Life & Build Quality: The rechargeable battery lasts surprisingly long—I’ve used it several times over a few weeks and haven’t had to charge it yet. The unit feels sturdy and well-made, not flimsy like cheaper gadgets. Cleanup is easy too; just empty the tank and give it a quick rinse. Who Would Benefit Most: - If you deal with recurring earwax buildup and hate scheduling doctor visits, this will save you time and money. - Parents could use it for teenagers or older kids (though I wouldn’t recommend it for very young children). - Seniors or anyone with hearing aids would find it especially helpful, since wax buildup can interfere with devices. Final Thoughts: This is hands down the best at-home ear cleaning tool I’ve ever used. It’s cleaner, safer, and far more effective than anything else I’ve tried. Fantastic product! I've had recurrent problems of ear wax buildup throughout the years due to having a narrow ear canal. For a few months now I've had a nasty ear wax buildup for which I had tried numerous over-the-counter products, to no avail. I even had a syringe-based irrigation at the doctor and, while that got some of the wax out, it didn't go to the extent I was expecting. Nothing seemed to have the results I was hoping for. Out of true desperation, I went on Amazon and decided to give this power ear cleaner a go. After applying olive oil drops for a week to soften the wax, I finally got to use the product. It took maybe an hour to get the battery fully charged, and about a minute to set up the rest (water, the little temperature sticker that goes on the side, attaching the nozzle, etc). Setting it up for use was a breeze. Believe me, I have never seen so much wax coming out of my ears! It took 2 or 3 rounds of 400 ml for each ear to get the gunk out. I felt as if my hearing improved in a matter of minutes that it took to do the irrigation in each ear. I was honestly blown away by the results achieved. This is a fantastic solution for those who, like me, suffer from recurrent blockages from ear wax buildup.

Holy cow this is a game changer!! The instructions provided are straightforward and easy to understand. Set up took 30 seconds at most. There are different settings to use at your comfort level. I prefer the pulse feature. The noise level is minimal and the machine is lightweight. It does have to be plugged in and is not battery operated. The soft tips are comfortable and my ear fit entirely within the cup. There was no splashing, wasted water, mess etc. My ears felt so clean after use and you can see the results right there in the reservoir. This works really well and I am so glad I purchased this product
