Monsgeek m1 v5 TMR - Amazing, tons of features, premium build, satisfying typing at a great price.
Monsgeek m1 V5 TMR. I'm never been big on keyboards, but I do play a lot of PC games. This blows everything I have used so far out of the water. The feel of it, the sound it makes is satisfying yet not too loud or obnoxious or too clicky (especially while playing games). I can't imagine it feeling any better honestly. The software is good, works well enough for me although a little bit buggy sometimes. The analogue key features did make a noticeable difference for me in responsiveness in my games, but do require tweaking to get right. It feels very premium The only gripes I have with it is how heavy it is and how high it sits. I feel like I am reaching for keys a little bit more than my previous low profile keyboard and I tend to move my keyboard around my desk a lot so it's weight makes that slightly annoying but not all that bad. This is largely also a preference thing that a keyboard wrist wrest and more getting used to will fix. I was also a little bit worried about how it comes with south facing lettering on the keycaps, however once I had it set up I can see the lettering perfectly fine as I am sitting in front of the keyboard and not directly on top of it after all. I can't figure out how to save specific RGB settings to different layers through the software as it won't let me select different layers to adjust the RGB settings in the web driver or desktop application but I could be doing something wrong or maybe there is some sort of driver conflict. Amazing especially for it's price.

Well Worth the Money!! (M1 V5 TMR)
Okay, this keyboard is freaking sick. Im a bit of a keyboard addict. I have a Wooting 60he with Jade Pro switches, a Nuphy Air 60HE, a GMMK Pro TKL, Deathstalker Pro TKL and Full Size, and the list goes on.. I only say all this to give the notion that I know a nice keyboard when I see one and this Monsgeek M1 V5 TMR is really nice. The akko HE switches HE that came in it are really nice and they are even lighter to press than my Jade Pros in the wooting which is a huge bonus for me because my fingers get a little fatigued over long gaming sessions. The sound has a nice thock to it, and they keys don't have much wobble at all. The space bar in particular is probably the nicest least wobbly I've seen on any of my keyboards. The fact that the wireless switch is under the capslock key is not a huge issue because you can just flip it on once and then switch between wired and 2.4 ghz mode using the FN + Y or FN + U keys. The software is the only downside. I haven't figured out a way to easily switch between typing mode and gaming mode so I have to manually go into the software, select all the keys and reset the actuation distance to 2mm for typing and then go back in again when I want to game. The wooting 60he can do that by simply pressing FN + Enter. Even if you create a profile in the monsgeek software it still won't save your actuation distances when you switch between profiles. So that's a bummer. Also the VIA web based driver didnt seem to recognize my keyboard so I was forced to use the local based one which I know some people consider that a deal breaker but I found the rest of the benefits to be worth it. Lastly this keyboard has some the coolest RGB modes I have ever seen so bonus for that! And it's one of the few keyboards that is wireless and has HE switches. It also has SOCD so thats a bonus and it performs better than the wooting in gaming in my opinion but thats probably mostly to do with the akko switches being a little lighter/faster for me. One last thing, the keyboard has a lot of give to it, meaning if you're a hard typer it protects your fingers from getting sore and I really enjoy that. My GMMK Pro is like a rock and hurts my hands after a while

Best TMR keyboard value out there (if you are ok with cloud drivers)
Fantastic keyboard for gaming and linear typing alike. The price is unparalleled, especially considering this is a MX and magnetic keyboard. BUY IT NOW BEFORE TMR GOES MAINSTREAM AND THIS KEYBOARD JUMPS IN PRICE. THIS IS IT, STOP LOOKING UNLESS YOU NEED ADVANCED MACROS AND OFFLINE DRIVER CONTROL. PROS: ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Linear, smooth keys Replaceable keys MX and magnetic compatible sockets (ONLY ON THE M1 V5 TMR, not other models, be weary) Standard cherry stems Comfortable typing experiences due to padded backing Solid construction (also a con due to extreme weight making this keyboard basically non-portable) High refresh rate RGB High polling rate SOCD (key overrride for strafing actions regardless of keys being pressed) Triple mode wireless (BT, Dongle 2.4Ghz, Wired) Decent battery life (1 week per charge, heavy usage (10 - 12 hrs x 6 days a week) NEGATIVES: ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- - MODE SWITCH IS UNDER THE CAPS LOCK KEY!!!! (WHY DO THIS? I know the reason is due to the cost of adding additional cutouts and clearance for a switch on a cnc aluminum case, but still, this is very annoying to deal with) - Extremely heavy - WEB DRIVER (Main reason for star removal) - Hardlocked firmware keys for certain actions (NOT EXPLAINED WELL IN MANUAL OR IN WEB DRIVER PAGE) - Random profile generation for keyboard settings - Nonlinked profiles for options that should change together (like key maps and SOCD settings) - Supplied USB-C cable is of subpar quality. - No wrist rest (fine considering the price point) - Poor backlight distribution due to switch design with optical channel with no diffuser (better on astroglide model) and key opacity. I would give this keyboard 5 stars if it had a non-cloud driver available for NA customers, the need for an internet connection to update your keyboard's internal settings is a bit annoying. Furthermore, the way the configurations will randomly change and add new configs is a headache. Otherwise, excellent keyboard.

Impressive keyboard
Nice sleek, premium feeling keyboard. The akko astrolink switch version feel satisfying to type and game on. Another plus is that the switches are hot swappable incase you want other switches installed later on. The software could use a little work but it can do nearly everything you need it too. One thing to note is that it does not have a tilt function on this keyboard , but it is an easy fix as you can just buy a keyboard riser. The rgb could be a bit brighter as well. I wouldn't buy this keyboard if you are going to switching between Bluetooth and wired frequently because for some reason monsgeek decided to put the Bluetooth switch under the caps lock key, it can get annoying very fast. If you don't want to bother with building your own keyboard, just buy this as I would consider this to be a endgame keyboard.

Does not arrive as advertised
This keyboard does not arrive as advertised. It’s not hot swappable/ does not have prong holes for new switches, and all of the interior foam and boards are glued together which means the dampening foam cannot be swapped out. I’ll be returning it immediately. Do yourself a favor and order directly from the manufacturer.

Good sensors.
Very good. Very sensitive TMR sensors. Definitely cutting edge.

Love the sound and feel of the key caps and switches.
Love the sound of the key caps and switches it comes with, and it has really good weight to it. The keys feel great to type with or play games. I was hesitant at first just because I like to use a numpad, but it was worth it for sure.

TMR is the way to go
Sounds amazing, had slight problems with leds turning and staying red, feels very smooth, it's durable but also can be taken apart easily since it's customizable. Looks nice, a bit bigger than I imagined but overall a great keyboard.
