lovely nightcap
Really nice flavour and is a delight to drink, I've tried several other brands but this has that lovely bitter wormwood kick to it. I wouldn't have this as a daytime drink as it's rather moreish and at this price for this size bottle it works out rather expensive, for me a single nip before bedtime and it helps me to drift off.

New to absinthe? Buy this.
This is a great starting point if you are new to absinthe. It is far less expensive than almost all others and nice to drink. It tastes similar to liquorice. Surprisingly much easier to drink than vodka etc! This seemed to produce a much better 'drunk' feeling after a few drinks and does not 'hit you'. It is a smooth, pleasant transition. Highly recommend, don't be put off!

Best first try at absinthe and not too dear.
This absinthe was the first i tried many years ago. I think its possibly one of the best to get into absinthe. Not too strong but pleasant.also cheap by absinthe standards. Absinthe is a happy drink i always think. Absinthe makes the heart grow fonder as they say. Id give it a try with lemonade and ice. Not traditionally but i like it this way.

Okay for my first true absinthe
This is the first time I've purchased absinthe for myself. I have tried it before, not sure what brand but I liked it. Now my taste in spirits is always towards herb-like drinks so I thought this one was right up my street. Although it is nice it does have quite a strong bitter taste and not being the biggest fan of sweet drinks I decided to try it without a sugar cube. It was a little too harsh for me so I tried it with a sugar and although better, it just wasn't quite what I was hoping for. It hasn't put me off trying other types of Absinthe but I don't think this one is quite 'me'. I will definitely finish the bottle (over time) but for me personally I wouldn't buy it again.

The real thing
I hate the stuff but my husband loves it. Make sure to only drink it in small quantities though

Resplendent addition to a kitchen
A curious purchase for someone who doesn't drink, but this neatly complements the other spirits adorning my kitchen. Perhaps some momentous life event will provide the impetus to crack it open, at the moment it just looks pretty there.

Not so wonderful as I first thought
Not so wonderful as I first thought. One, it doesn't change colour when adding water but stays the same colour so I'm wondering if I've bought a fake and am drinking anti freeze or some other chemical. Tastes strongly of sweet anise and not much else. Not like the Absinthe I remember buying in France. I enclose a series of photos of what real Absinthe does when adding water. As water dilutes the spirit, those components with poor water solubility (mainly those from anise, fennel, and star anise) come out of solution and cloud the drink. The resulting milky opalescence is called the louche, French for opaque or shady. The release of these dissolved essences coincides with a perfuming of herbal aromas and flavours that "blossom" or "bloom," and brings out subtleties that are otherwise muted within the neat spirit. This reflects what is perhaps the oldest and purest method of preparation, and is often referred to as the French Method. This particular brand has none of these subtleties and I am suspicious of it genuineness to such an extent I may well contact the trades people to see if I haven't been sold fake, anise flavoured antifreeze. This Absinthe does not do what the photos show or what my past experience of Absinthe are. I think I smell a rat.
