Handy addition to your toolkit if doing suspension struts. Included snug fitting inserts for most strut ends make it easy to loosen or tighten the top nut. Doesn’t come with 5 mm internal hex but you can use normal allen key instead with most drop link joints. This design won’t allow holding when tightening with torque wrench.

Works well. The allen key and torx bits turned while using the tool to undo the nut and folding the threaded portion at 64nm.

At this price point, for somebody that will use this for an occasional shock/top mounts job its a great purchase. It makes taking off the top mounts a breeze. They can get seized quite badly, the inner hex part of the shaft can get rounded off, for some shocks you can't even get a spanner in to hold break the nut loose (like on my Seat Leon MK3) so you need a deep socket and a way of holding the hex still. I've done my first shock without this tool, and it was a major pain. I then decided to purchase the tool for the job and it was a breeze. The tool feels good, the sockets do feel a bit softer than your typical set, so I wouldn't be using it on an impact or anything with a decent amount of torque. The ratchet/spanner that comes with the tool feels solid, and grabs nicely onto the sockets. At this price tag, I really have no complaints. Made my life much easier, and I am sure I will use this again in no time.

This is a clever set of Zoomtools sockets where the ratchet fits over the outside of the socket and allows a central other type driver down the middle. All of the sockets are long. This will assist in many applications where undoing or tightening from one side stops the other side spinning. Mainly in shock absorber use on the top nut as shown. You get a lot of adaptors and large sockets as shown. Its a shame the ratchet driver has a plastic knob for setting forward or reverse which could get damaged if dropped. There is also no central position where its locked. Its well made and fits tight in the case. Like all of these make sure you open it the right way up! We always mark tool kits with a sharpie say "TOP" etc. Part of a large range of specialist tools by this Company.

This socket set is made very sturdy. It has got enough different sizes and fittings. The set has a hard carry case to hold the main wrench and selectoon of sockets. Perfect for them hard to reach nuts and bolts with its deeper sockets.
