Having first preferred the smooth look then later switching to a short beard I have favoured electric trimmers over manual razors for many years due to their convienience but the skin often got irritated and sore afterwards with both looks bringing the neck area in particular up in a painful rash which would last for days and look hideous. Having put up with this for so long, trying several different design types, razor burn creams etc I saw an advert for this razor and decided to give it a go. I’m delighted and a little surprised to say it does the job very well. Extreamly easy to trim beard lines and length. The detachable comb is easily adjusted to the desired cutting length. Perfect around the neck, it NEVER leaves a rash, irritates or cuts the skin in any way. The result is not silky smooth skin when you shave the hair off completely but that is the whole point of this design, it gives a good shave without cutting the hair so close it irritates the skin as it grows back or gives you razor burn. The blade glides over the skin effortlessly in any direction with or against the grain as advertised. It doesn’t pull at the hair/stubble at all. Battery charges quickly, just over an hour from flat, and lasts for a good few uses with a easy to read remaining battery percentage indicator on the front. The trimming head continues to work at full speed even when the charge is getting low. Not too noisy either. Impressed with the cutting head too, thought I would push it a bit due to the cost of the replacements and I have yet to replace even after the recommended 4 months and it feels as sharp and precise as ever. In all the best electric shaver/trimmer I have personally ever used to date by far.

I was always a avid razor user as I like to be clean shaven. But as the price of blades has gone up and up I could no longer justify the cost so went to look for alternatives. After reading lots of reviews I decided to try one of these and was not disappointed. Its not much bigger than my razor and the battery seems to last forever on a charge. It gives a really close shave and I have not nicked or cut myself once despite daily use for several weeks. I have not found the need to replace the blade yet as the original one is still performing great and the extra accessories are great for trimming hair on other body parts. I even picked up a nose hair attachment for it! I also brought a little travel case to transport it in which is great. All in all I feel its great value for money as its replaced 3 of my previous grooming tools in 1 handy device. My only criticism is the base is not flat so you cant stand it up but thats obviously pretty minor! All in all great bit of kit.

After using this product for quite some time, I will try to get a detailed review of my findings! Pros: - Battery Life: A full charge goes a long way. It can easily last me 15+ trims (8+ weeks) before charging. There is a useful LED indicator displaying the percentage of battery charge remaining on the product. - Charging Speeds: Due to the Lithium-Ion battery, charging speeds are extremely quick. If you are in a rush it could charge within 5 minutes from flat to give you enough power for a last minute trim. - 14 length comb - This is very handy for keeping side burns and select areas of facial hair in check. It is not the best but a useful accessory in the pack. - Aesthetics: The product looks excellent and is a great compact size for easy storage. - One-Blade Head Durability - The manufacture quoted 4 months is a very fair indication. In fact it lasted longer for me and was still adequate after 6 months. - Contour movement - This is excellent for manoeuvring around your face creating an even slight stubble look. Cons: - The One-Blade head eject button has become less springy over time and the blade does not pop out so easily. Small bits of hair also gets into this area which is hard to clean - although most people would not notice or care. Apart from this area the rest is very easy to clean and maintain. - 14 length comb: Unfortunately, whilst using this attachment you lose the ability to contour around your face. This is not a problem if you only use this on the sideburns but would be a drawback for someone who wanted to use this attachment for the whole face. Overall, I would say this is an excellent little trimmer for giving a clean stubble look (reasonable results using the guards) and recommend it mainly for the stubble look. However, I would suggest waiting for a discount as the RRP is a little overpriced.

Very good and great for shaving

Over the years I have a huge range of electric/battery shavers and trimmers and all of them have always had at least one thing one thing wrong, whether it is the length of the cut, the quality, the irritation caused and before this I was using an expensive Wahl trimmer which I was quite content with. However, after seeing the OneBlade advertised I was more than happy to give it a go to get the close, irritation free cut that was being broadcasted. I can honestly say I don't regret it at all! The OneBlade without the trimmer attachment cuts perfectly short just as you would expect from a shaver and it really does cause no irritation whatsoever (for me anyway) I found the cut to be most effective when going against the grain. The only downside of this shaver is that sometimes I do find I have to go over a part of my face more than once to get all the hairs, but I am more happy to do so knowing that I could do it all day without any pain or resentment for the task of shaving. I don't have a beard ordinarily but at the time of ordering my facial hair had gotten a bit long, so I used the opportunity to test the trimmer attachment and this was just as pleasing as the shaver. Great product that stops shaving being a chore, the battery life is great, I shave once a week and it would last around 3 or 4 months but I charge it when it reaches around 25%. The battery indicator is a nice touch and it is very easy to clean the hair away when you are finished. I can't recommend this shaver enough!

Having bought this 6 months ago and today I revisited the negative comments, I certainly don't know where people get there complaints from. To set the record, I have rosacea on the face and I have always found it difficult to shave as its completely discomforting. I bought this to escape the painful daily shaves and it did just that. Pros - Battery life lasts around 2 weeks at short daily shaves. The razor blades last up to 4 months. Very precise and GENTLE shaving. Cuts close to the skin, but does NOT cut your skin like other people have said. The length trimmer is great, as I usually use 2 different grades on my face. Very easy to clean and maintainable. Cons - The blade attachment is good but the 4 plastic arms that attach to the blade are very weak, so treating this with care is a must, if you don't you'll be buying razor heads every month. The reason I rave so much about this is because I left the house everyday feeling hideous as I had red dry splotches over my face which affected me. I bought this shaver and my skin has cleared up completely with no dry skin. This razor very gentle with skin and doesn't damage skin like other typical handheld razors.

I used to use the Wahl balding clippers for my hair as these got closest without using a razor. I prefer that one day stubble look rather than smooth bald head. The issue with the Wahl clippers was that my scalp would sometimes become flakey as I had to use it dry and that it was a corded machine. This is perfect for shaving your head as long as your only taking of under 5mm or so. I use it once a week to take all the hair off, with shaving foam and I have never had a cut or graze. It feels clean and smooth. Also, good for beard although the adjustment tool its a bit plastic and I broke mine by pressing too hard. Easliy replaceable though. The blades tend to last 3-6 months for me as long as I don't use it for hair that is too long and I prepare my hair well beforehand with shaving foam etc. Over 2 years of used, travelled with it etc and its perfect. Oh and for me the battery lasts a month or so between charges.

It's fallen a little in my expectations. Firstly if you look below the power display on my product picture you'll notice the scuff on the body. There are two of these on the handset which doesn't fill me with much confidence on wether it's actually brand new. It feels less robust than what I expected, it's basically all plastic. Sturdy, but plastic. and for nearly £50 I was just a little, surprised really. I haven't used up a full charge yet but it fully charged up in around 25 minutes which is good. The blade itself is definitely like a trimmer, I wouldn't consider it a razor in the slightest. Best results were with a wet shave, it cuts very close to the skin as good as a bic razor. But basically, I could use a bic razor so... Anyway. The adjustable length attachment was okay, it gets extremely irritating going against my skin with it over and over, and for me 10mm isn't long enough. I would need something more like 15-18mm but I guess that is just preference. Generally apart from shave really close with minimal irritation my bic razor and other trimmer could do the same thing. Both cheaper than this. I don't aim to put anyone off for the sake of it but I'm undecided on wether to return this just yet. The quality just doesn't resonate with me very well for the price. And I'm tempted to invest in something even slightly more expensive just so I know it will last in future. Watch some reviews, they helped me just bear in mind if you have a lengthy beard and don't want a close cut it's probably not for you.
