they tend to get beat up on the way which is fine if you are just crushing them for soup. If you're buying them and don't want them broken or smashed up here and there, go get them at your local store

They have changed them, and the changes are good for once! 01. There is none of that un-cooked cracker "butter" on the cookies (or whatever the heck that is, you know what I am talking about...). 02. The holes are slightly bigger, and more noticeable, the whole cracker looks cleaner and nicer, more defined. 03. They seem flakier and a little more fragile because of it. 04. They are super buttery tasting. I order these same Ritz all the time, multiple boxes at at time. The crackers in the 1st box I opened are completely different to the crackers I have been getting for a while now, like for the past several years. If you regularly get Ritz, you know the past few years have been wonky for Ritz. With that weird uncooked cracker "butter" or whatever it is that's been smeared on the crackers, to them being either overly salty or not salty enough, to them completely lacking flavor. But this box is different! The crackers even look nicer. The crackers are more flaky, but also more fragile, so far there were more broken crackers per sleeve than usual, but this is ok, because I have been saving them and adding them to soup or putting them on top of salads. They also taste more buttery, and they have the perfect amount of salt on them. I hope they keep making them this way, I really like them like this. If the quality stays up like this, they are definitely a good value.

I can't speak for the salt content. Not bad for the dryness. The texture is good. The thickness depends upon what is defined as thick. Not to salty. These crackers are convenient for any occasion. These crackers are good with any cheese product.
