Very nice headphones for activity
I bought both these and the "HD1 free" at the same time. My main exercise where I'd use headphones is walking outside; I have decent equipment indoors where I can just use a speaker, and running IMHO is just a good way to get hurt. The sound quality on the HD1 free is better; we'll just get that out of the way first - those things are absolutely phenomanal earbuds. But the HD1 cord is longer and they don't fit as snugly in my ears. As a result, while I'm walking around town, turning my head to cross the street, they would get pulled out just slightly. Without the seal, earbuds suddenly sound really hollow. These CX1s, though, are great. They sound /almost/ as good as the HD1 free, which means they still sound better than whatever you probably have now. They really do sound very good; they're an outstanding earbud. I'm keeping them because they really do work better for "active" use. They're lighter weight overall. The buds are somewhat smaller and the cord is shorter. Looking at them, you'd think those were really minor changes, but they feel substantially lighter weight overall. Combine that with the silicone "wings", and these stay put exceptionally well. They come with four sets of "the thing that plugs your ear canal" and three sizes of wing, but, as a "borderline-large guy" (6'1"/225), the default size-3 cushions and medium wings (as-shipped) fit me perfectly. I did run and jump some with them in, and have spent several hours walking around town, which involves a lot of "look both ways before crossing" head motions that usually pull headphones out. These things stay exactly where I put them. They block out darn near all outside nose in a small town, so they're honestly probably not super safe to wear in high-speed traffic - but I'm in a village where there's basically no cars driving around. They'd be great in a gym, and I've been using them at my desk occasionally (though my PXC-550 headset gets more use when I'm sitting down). The thing about these (actually both) which I'm most impressed by, aside from the sound, is the bluetooth range. I use some 3M worktunes over-ear hearing protection while I'm mowing. They also use bluetooth. I noticed that the sound would pause when I'd pass in front of my front door. After the fourth or fifth time, I looked at the bluetooth settings, and my phone was connecting to the CX1 sports. I had forgotten to turn them off, and left them on my kitchen table. In the house, over 50 feet away, though two doors. The signal was strong enough and these connect fast enough that they were reconnecting to my phone in my front pocket on the opposite side of my body. I had to go inside and turn them off. It goes without saying that I've not had any trouble with them disconnecting from my phone regardless of where I carry it. You wouldn't have to keep your phone on you while working out, as long as it's in view. Re: the yellow, I wasn't initially a huge fan. But I've decided I like it for two reasons. One, it makes them easier to find in a dark bag or whatever, and two, it's just enough that people around can actually tell you're wearing headphones. since these block out external sound so well, it's nice not turning around and realizing that someone's been talking to you for who knows how long without you hearing a word. In short, I love these things for any time I'm moving around; they stay in and sound really really good. And the HD1 free? My wife ended up keeping them, because she didn't have a particularly good set of headphones. So, we both win. :)

Very light and comfortable but cuts out too much
The headphones sound great which is to be expected and the fit is pretty good although I do find one side does not fit as perfectly as the other. I noticed the side with the battery, the heavier side can come out just a little bit. I have owned these for about 2 weeks using them to work out about 2-3 days out of the week. I sweat a lot during work outs. Last night I went for a 2 hour bike ride and about 1 hour in the headphones started cutting out much like they were losing signal. If this does happen again I will be forced to return the unit. Hopefully it doesn't come to that but let's see.I own the wired ocx 686g and they withstand the rain with ease but these so far don't seem as resilient :(. I will update as more time goes by EDIT: the headphones keep cutting when the phone is in my pocket and sometimes even cuts when I'm walking and the phone is in my hand! I will try to exchange or return asap. Disappointed.

I wanted to love these, but...
I have used Sennheiser earbuds for exercise for about 5 years now (the wired kind). I absolutely adored those and they sounded great. So, imagine my surprise when I realized exactly how badly I overpaid for these. They simply are poorly designed. The sheer weight of the battery/controls on the connecting wire keeps pulling them out of your ears - no matter the combination of tips and fins. You can forget about jogging with these things, because any sort of bouncing around exacerbates the problem. If you manage to get a snug fit, the main chassis pulls right out of the tip, leaving the silicone lodged in your ear canal. This is especially true after a couple of weeks usage, because, you know, humans have earwax and sweat when they exercise. This causes the sound quality to suffer because it never has a proper seal, making it sound worse than the lowest-end earphones. The battery notification is not quite accurate. It will show half-full on the phone and the earphones themselves will notify you “2-3 hours remain” only to have them die 20 minutes later. I will say that there’s no problems on a full charge. Also, as of this writing, there’s no aftermarket for earfins, so if you lose one you probably have to buy directly from Sennheiser. Which, last I checked, did not have them listed anywhere. Frustrating. All in all, I simply cannot recommend these and as a loyal customer I feel very disappointed. They are cheap and overpriced. Sadly, Beats have not let me down yet (they stay in at least) and if those are out of your price range, get some knockoffs because they will still work better than these Sennheiser earphones.

First of all, awesome product for the money. Hands down, this is one to go with for workout headphones. This is the sister to the CX6.00, released by Sennheiser earlier this year. The make is basically the same, but with a highlighter yellow scheme and ear fins. So if you're looking for a headphone that's not a workout model, I'd highly recommend the CX6.00 bluetooth, as that'll save you $40. What's great: - Have had ZERO bluetooth connectivity issues. - Great fit: Tons of different eartip sizes, and earfins for running. (4 different sizes I believe for eartip, 3 for earfin) - Sound Quality: Fantastic. Can hear nuances of my music. Very natural sounding Bass, Mids and Treble without "forced" sounds (Extra Bass) like with competing products. - Battery Life: Hasn't been a problem. 6 hours seems really good - Neckband: Really comfortable. The battery pack and the controls are built on opposite sides, ensuring that the weight is equal. - Microphone: Great for answering calls. It's noise cancelling, so it's quite clear and positioned near your mouth so you don't have to move it. -Case: Really small, and fits in pocket! What's needs improvement: - Maybe 1 more earfin size and/or the ability to order them online. - The App: Captune doesn't give much options for streaming music, only downloaded music. Which is fine, I don't really use it. Overall: Really worth it. Thanks Sennheiser!

Jogging Ear pieces fit well in the ear. Although, when paired with my Iphone it drops out - Default Voiceover keeps on coming on while jogging - Then stops after 20 mins it stops - Besides the above, good earphones

I bought these for my wife for Christmas. She’s been using them happily for the last 18 months. I borrowed them last week for the first time and the sound quality was awful. They simply had no bass which meant that I couldn’t use them as even podcasts were unbearable to listen to. When I asked my wife how long they had sounded like that she told me they always had, but thought it was normal for that style of headphones. My advice is that you check them when you get them out of the packaging. As based on the product description which talks about a rich sound and bass, ours were obviously faulty from the start.
