OtterBox iPhone 16 Pro Defender Series Case - Black (Single Unit Ships in polybag)

This case feels very high quality right away. It is solid and well built, and it gives a lot of confidence that it will protect your phone. The size fits the iPhone 16 Pro Max perfectly without feeling loose or awkward. It does add some bulk, but that is expected with this level of protection. It was easy to install and snaps into place securely. The closure feels tight and everything lines up well, including buttons and ports. Wireless charging still works fine without needing to remove the case, which is a big plus. The screen and camera areas are clear and unobstructed, so there are no issues with visibility or usability. Overall, it is a durable, well fitting case that offers strong protection and works exactly as expected.

Not only is this case rugged, it’s comfortably tactile as well. I bought this because I kept dropping my iPhone 16 Pro (sometimes two or three times a day) and wanted to protect it more than a sleek case did. Happily, this case protects my phone much more while it also provides a much better grip. I now rarely drop my phone.

As always, OtterBox never fails to disappoint me. I've been happily using OtterBox cases almost exclusively since 2011 and this case is another success. The grip is EXCELLENT and probably one of the best I've had for a phone. Even compared to previous Defender cases for older iPhones, I feel like this one fits snugly in my hand and I can easily use the phone one-handed with minimal to no slipping. They also improved the design of the Defender from previous cases, as it feels less bulky but still feels just as secure and safe for protecting the phone from drops. Overall, while it's not the cheapest case on the market, its easy use and great functionality make it a solid choice and worth every penny.

This is a put on-leave on case. If you have to remove the case to mount your phone on a gimbal or other mount it is probably not the case for you. The case has a clam hard plastic inner case that has a thin upper piece that snaps on to secure the phone. This piece will break regardless how careful you are with it. Also it is not the easiest case to put on and off. It is super thick and makes your phone footprint rather large. If you want rugged protection and you leave the case on this may be a case for you. If you are like me and need to remove the case, it may not be a good option.

Defender series; excellent protection except for one glaring “error”; the area around the camera button. On one edge near the camera button, the iPhone is exposed with no protection at all. The opposite side has a nice, hard ridge. While the design allows for easy access to the camera button, it is concerning and reason the case doesn’t get 5 stars from me. One last, important point, the case has a nice “rough” non-slip finish that makes easy to hold on to. Suggestion for Ottobox: make a “Defender2” for the 16Pro; the Defender2 would be identical to the original but with the new camera button covered like the rest of the sides - rendering the new camera button unusable.

Great product

Bought other brands cases (Speck “Designed for impact”; and Encased). The first one (Speck) broke after one week, the other one is intact, but the back of the phone is shattered!, so it didn’t get the job done. So… I just realized the hard way that investing in Otterbox seems expensive, but is 100% worth every penny !; I used it before with other phones and will keep doing so!

Very solid. Dropped my phone several times. Didn’t receive any damage.

Excelente funda es cara, pero vale la pena material de primera es algo robusto, ya depende de gustos en la persona a mí sí me gusta mucho, para personas que les gusta el celular Delgado, puede ser que esta no es la funda correcta, porque es un poco tosca, pero es agradable el tacto

This is my 4th Otter Box case bought on Amazon. The first three lasted my iPhone 13 an average of 3 years. Was buying the $50 ones from their store, so I just figured it just cheaper materials. So when I bought my iPhone 16 pro, thought I'd spend the extra and get the expensive version as a last attempt for them to regain my confidence. Unfortunately this one lasted me only 6 weeks and now too late to return. My last defender case! They don't build them like they used to. They used to out last my phones, now they're just an expensive joke :(
