BELTBOX 3.0: Vocal Dampener for Singers, Actors, Performers, Stress Relief. A Portable Warm-Up Room.

Bought this for my granddaughter and she was excited to get it. I thought it was kind of pricey but, worth it to see the smile on her face. She says it works great and she uses it a lot.

OMG! Talk about being able to run scales, switching registers, dynamics, even character voices without the worry of haters stealing your ideas as you work them out. Also, and if need be, one can improve their technique and breathing at the same time. It feels comfortable to use with or without the head strap for hands-free use. The quality is Great and worth the money, it is compact, so it fits well in your shoulder bag. One of the first things I noticed was that the sound quality was not lost when I sang both hard (chest register) or soft (head register). For anyone understanding the break point between registers, the area we don't like others to hear when we are warming up and/or practicing, get this. I use this with my Breather Fit and I recommend them being purchased together as a must-have, for anyone reading this and serious about building for themselves a Vocalist toolbox. Side note: Don't forget to hydrate, avoid sweets, dairy and rest your vocal cords when they are not needed. Your voice is just as if not more important than a piano and/or saxophone when it comes to music. Thank You

The Beltbox doesn't dampen sound as much as I thought it would, considering it's talked about so much. It is easy to use, and the strap they give you with it is helpful, but it looks really strange. It is comfortable to use and easy to breathe in.

Good product and very useful

Very comfortable and actually works. Make sure to clean it well, perhaps even a few times before you use it as it did sort of smell initially. It is however, durable, easy-to-use and easy-to-clean. I highly recommend it.

Does exactly as advertised - comfortably dampens sound to about 35% of the original volume. I'm a mezzo soprano, but I'm working on expanding my higher range. Unfortunately, I wasn't practicing enough between lessons because I didn't want to bug anyone. This gadget will help me rehearse without annoying my family and my neighbors in the adjacent townhomes. It is lightweight, portable, and washable. This is an excellent find!

The level of sound damping is wonderfully substantial; my friend, a professional operatic tenor, ripped his high Cs into the product, and all that came through was a muffle quieter than the TV. A few important pros to note: The opening is flexible and moves with your mouth. There is no leakage when you open tall, even when using the head strap. The device is light. Usage and portability are a breeze, especially given the compact size. There is no resistance on the exhale. You feel no pressure difference singing into this than singing without it. Allowing the nose to be outside the muffling area is actually quite effective at showing you where you become nasal. Nasal sounds that end up becoming noticeably louder because they don't exit the mouth and into the product. I will say that if you use the included strap, you do look like you're wearing a BDSM device. But most vocalists I know are masochists in one way or another, so I suppose it simply caters to the demographic.

My 17 yo daughter absolutely loves using this when she's rehearing for singing events. She loves using it so she can sing her high notes without disrupting the household. She doesn't find it restrictive to her breathing.

This thing is great. Works like a charm. You can sing or warm up anywhere and it really cuts down on the volume. Highly recommended!

Me ha gustado mucho y cumple totalmente su función. He probado otros que me tapaban la nariz y me asfixiaba al cantar. En cambio este te permite cantar dosificando la respiración y no molestar a mis vecinos. Muy recomendable.
