Saga Volume 9

Well that's my heart broken. Amazing art and writing as always and what - a ending to cut into your soul.

Tracked down by the tabloids, Hazel and her family are threatened and put in danger because of who they are and what they represent. Amongst all the lies and fake news, real tragedy comes to them all. 'Saga' begins to draw to a close, with characters leaving and dying. Vaughan has prepared for this cliffhanger, but it still hurts. The art is glorious and the labelling is formatted to draw the reader's eye to the subtlest of details.

As the title says. Buy all 9 volumes and dive into this amazingly well written world

My advice? Buy every volume and enjoy one of the best ongoing comics ever written.

I am a big fan of graphic novels but until now was more into Conan and Judge Dredd, only so much of that you can do so I dipped my toe into this one based on reviews from others. So glad I did, unlike some - given my love of Judge Dredd etc I am quite happy with open ended stories provided each book entertains me. This series did just that, too short in my view but I loved the journey. I will so miss my Saga.

If you thought Volume 7 was stressful I'll warn you now that had nothing on Volume 9. I still haven't recovered from the horrendous ending of this one and I'm just praying things aren't really what they seemed because I can't bear it if that was really true! After finally seeing all of our favourite characters reunited at the end of the previous book I was honestly hoping that things might go smoothly for a while but of course you know thats not going to happen in a series like this. I mean some things are going well, we have several happy couples who are making the most of their time together, Hazel is turning into quite the little warrior thanks to her training with Petrichor, Ghus is a brilliant babysitter and our reporter duo are working on the story of a lifetime. Meanwhile things are going really badly for The Will and there has been no sign of Sophie, Lying Cat or Gwendolyn since Volume 7 so we're not sure what's going on in their camp. As much as I love these books I have to admit the body count has been a bit too high in the last few books for my taste, I'm starting to worry whether any of the characters I love are going to survive the series and frankly at the moment its not looking good. I'm still holding out hope that at least one character survives injuries received in this book though, I'm definitely not ready to say goodbye to them yet and the rest of this dysfunctional family needs them too much! Please don't break my heart like that!

Cried at the end. I love Brian K Vaughan so much. He knows exactly how to screw with my feelings. Love. If you're not familiar with this series, imagine Game of Thrones, but with Star Wars. The same quality and standard of storytelling as Y: The Last Man (although they're vastly different comics).

I love this series, but seriously, it seems to end on an event that tears my heart out every time!! Prince Robot, his son and Petrichor are trying to sell their stories and using magic, change themselves into another species (the ultimate witness protection programme), but of course nothing runs smoothly! The Will lives up to his name (eventually), and the family seems happy at last. But that’s OK, because the ending sorts that out. And Ghüs is his lovely little self. If anything happens to him, I WILL NOT BE HAPPY!! AND there’s going to be a yearlong haitus!! What’s that all about then??!!

Warning: there is fairly graphic sex and violence. However, none of it is obscene. All of it is to show life in all its forms. This story is full of darkness and joy, horror and beauty, violence and love. The characters all have flaws and you will find surprising turns unlike most stories. It is daring and brutally honest. This story is the story our world needs in 2020. It is full of moral lessons and appreciation for diversity and acceptance of who people are. It is the antidote to Trumpism. Enjoy!

Em relação ao produto: muito bom! A história continua em alto nível e a arte é excelente, com diversos clímax que te fazem querer continuar a ler.
